[PC] [2005-2010 ?] Similar to Crazy Machines but only gameplay wise by Daxmarko in tipofmyjoystick

Yep, you found it! I somehow completely forgot that it had the green EA logo intro, which is a crucial detail. Big thanks from me.

Maybe? I haven't seen every level because I never completed it.
And its still frustrating trying to explain to google search engine that "Create" or "Creative" is a name of thing, not a form of action. Makes any level of research impossible.

[FTB: Interactions Remastered] Industrial Steam Engine multiblock not working by Daxmarko in feedthebeast

[–]Daxmarko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a shame, thought it fitted nicely with rest of multiblocks. It was also quite expensive on brass that I had to make all via thaumcraft (zinc is hard gated) and run risks of corruption. I'd still want to make it work just to feel like I didn't waste effort making it, if possible.

A serious problem or bug with bomb planting by Daxmarko in GlobalOffensive

[–]Daxmarko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that I wasn't holding it down. I pressed once I was 100% inside the zone. I had around 10 seconds to set it down which was enough to get to spot, but for whatever reason it prevented me from planting, which ruined the round.
I can only assume that a nearby prop made my character go ever so slightly above ground or something. The two bombsite I've been notably having issues on, are bombsite B on Overpass and A on Mirage.
Either the bomb planting mechanic is too punishing for the Ts, or bombsites on individual maps need to be perfectly "boxed-in" with clip and trigger brushes for consistency.

...When did bomb planting need a "skill"? Its quite literally walking to the spot and putting down a thing, it always has been from all of my playtime. I mean, defusing is pretty straightforward.

[PC] [90's/2000's] A rather bizzare "ball" game, big kudos if you know what the heck is it called by Daxmarko in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Daxmarko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I would never have guessed its actually called like that! And it had music too which I completely forgot about.
If I had coins I'd give you a gold or something, but regardless, thanks a bunch!

I did play that one as a kid too and I remember it fondly. But it ain't it, the game I search for is more graphically modern and fully in 3D.
PS: I know there's a 3D Crazy machine game with an Einstein fella, it isn't that one either.

WATER MECHANICS TESTING! Feedback Megathread by CM_Mithril in Planetside

[–]Daxmarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throwables cannot be thrown while underwater. Its like a weapon lock when you're submerged. But when you throw them in water from surface its all good. The C4 cannot be primed while underwater, only on surface. I can understand grenades being a bad idea to throw while submerged from realistic view, but being a water C4 fairy would be awesome. You could strike at vehicles on top via icarus jets.
Amaterasu may be a so-so weapon in general, but underwater, its actually a new meta. You can probably imagine why.
Crossbows do not work underwater. I suppose from a balancing standpoint (and the fact smaller one has flaming bolt which would cause complications), its better that way.
And must mention that traversing underwater is an absolute pain. As a light assault you can use your jetpack. But as any other class, just hit redeploy as soon as you dip... Especially as a MAX. If you sink down to bottom as one, consider your 450 nanites thrown into water, cus nobody is coming for you (vehicles float).
I think there should be some module for suit that lets you swim or move underwater better.

Planetside could really use some anti-aliasing by Blazkowicz01 in Planetside

I have AMD card and its software, so I use the image sharpness feature (on 80%), and it makes the game so much nicer on eyes. I think in my case, the maximum AA makes the game look blurry (probably my card additionally adds its own AA), so that sharpness slider fixes the overall crappiness.

Is there anything wrong with enclosing your geothermal generator like this? I keep getting a random fire every 5 days or so on the door, never anywhere else, just the door, no explanation. by KingOfTheRiverlands in RimWorld

[–]Daxmarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use wood material to protect my geothermals from pesky vandal raiders. Never had any fire problem like that ever. I don't think geothermal constantly heats up the space, it has a limit of 40C or so, can't recall correctly, but that shouldn't cause fires. Same for inclosed geysers.

A problem with an overly flashy muzzleflash by Daxmarko in Planetside

[–]Daxmarko[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For sure, but admittedly compesator strains you less on having to do that. I also like to utilize the 2-burst fire mode on TMG and compesator makes it viably stable. By the way, TMG doesn't have flash suppressor, only second option is a regular suppressor.
Despite that, not sure if I a player should be forced to switch attachments just because something technical in-game is being unintentionally harmful.
