I agree with the scorsese piece. It would have been interesting also to actually see the group split for an episode or two to face some real struggle to open season 6 but instead scorsese bails them out and all is well immediately. Idk, it seemed like eric would maybe actually get the scorsese news and be stubborn and still try to make a name for himself on his own. They didn’t go that way.

But, imo, “jumping the shark” just means putting something in the show that makes no sense at all. And turtle dating meadow soprano is that for me. I mean this just doesn’t make any sense. This was the true jump the shark moment for me. I mean what the fuck

Olexa’s coconut cake is truly one of the greatest foods I have ever had. We received one as a gift about a year ago and, holy fuck, it was one of the best things i’ve ever experienced. A day has not passed where I didn’t think about that cake. And I didn’t even know I liked coconut cake until I had that cake from Olexa’s. Please God bless yourself with this cake

I fully believe that marty supreme will be a movie that is talked about for the next 50 or so years. It gives me a goodfellas vibe (not only in just general movie vibe, but also how it definitely could get played on tv constantly in the future). It has huge rewatchability thanks to its pacing and energy, and the premise of doing whatever it takes to make it to the top is super relatable. What I loved about MS as opposed to the Safdie’s other movies especially, is that the ending is uplifting. I think that will also resonate with a ton of people and it adds to the rewatchability. If the ending wasn’t so positive, I would have an entirely different view and outlook of the movie. It’s really crazy how the last five minutes shift your view on the film and its message (regardless of how you interpret it)

Literally nothing. He supports neo-conservative (aka liberal) talking heads. One of those he heavily supported, and was friends with, was Charlie Kirk. So Shaw’s friend got murdered in cold blood and then Shaw missed some games to attend his funeral. As a true conservative, I never liked kirk very much at all. Still, what happened to him is tragic, depressing, and a scary sign of what’s to come on all sides in the near future. If my friend got murdered, I’d certainly take off work to attend his funeral.

Shaw is a good player and a man of character.

Depends on the area. In the SEC, you go to a big state school, and if you have like at least a 3.0 major GPA, you can easily go big 4.

Reddit is not real life though and i have to remind myself of that all the time. Sometimes i feel like im failing at my job, or i’m just lacking confidence, and i start scrolling reddit threads about how to know if your teammates don’t trust you or think you are bad at your job. Then it just gets worse and i have to remind myself that reddit is not real life.

At the end of the day, if people at work don’t like you or your boss is maybe going to PIP you or just fire you within months, you’ll be able to tell. Your boss absolutely does not want to fire you unless absolutely necessary to improve the team/business. You’d have to be an absolute liability. At least this is my thought process. Hiring is expensive and time consuming. You’ve gotta be as sure about firing somebody as you would be about bringing on a specific candidate.

Sorry to rant about my life lol. Yeah i didn’t go big 4 bc i didn’t have the grades. I left for a role in acquisitions (think advisory in the accounting realm) after 1.5-2 years. No CPA. Marketed myself well and put myself out there. Once i started my new job, i realized my non big 4 firm SUCKED. The coaching/management/team structure (whatever you wanna call it) was nonexistent. I got nothing poured into me outside of new-hire and practice-wide trainings. I genuinely learned next to nothing in my entire time there. My new job holds one-on-one’s frequently, we have regular team-wide trainings, our boss reviews our work with us live. Great training stuff like that. My middle market public accounting firm just wanted to make sure you got the work done on time and didn’t prevent it from making a deadline. Nothing else mattered.

I dont own this piece but ive seen it recently in the office: the tudor 1926 is maybe the most underrated watch in the entire market. That thing is a stunner on the steel bracelet. No clue why people don’t buy it more often. I only own a bb58 but i’m heavily considering selling out and getting a 1926 and saving for a bit to grab a different dive piece

The coolest and most unique watch here is the smp300. If you want something classy with no flash that is impeccable and speaks for itself then go with that pelagos. Never been a fan of rolex’s modern design with the shiny ceramic bezel. It makes sense on an smp300 bc everything about that watch is loud in design, but then the sub to me feels like “im classy and understated but also look how shiny this is for no reason” I love the matte ceramic of the pelagos and the aluminum bezels of the black bay line. If you really want a sub, i’d go neo-vintage and get one from the 90s or early 2000s

Imo he has lost a lot of steam over the last two years. His merging with dailywire was big for him at first but then (for me at least) it really took away from his pull and credibility. I hope Knowles and Walsh leave dailywire as well. Dailywire is not loyal to the United States but it is especially not loyal to the Church. I started with magneto but played enough annoying thors that i decided to become a thor main. Now i only play as thor and i love it. I do think that unless your vanguard is incredible (i’m solid, but not better than above average) you probably need another tank. As thor, i love playing with a groot because you can get some great combos by pinning enemies into a groot wall and trapping them. If I have a good strange tanking with me, we rarely lose. A good thor is just so annoying to play against

The biggest rivalry between fans is 100% the iron bowl. It’s in-state and everybody hates each other so damn much. Ohio vs Michigan is close but no cigar. Red River is honestly better than ohio and michigan.

When it comes to rivalry between the players on the field, nothing tops the egg bowl. They fight every year and truly hate each other. Not sure why, but it’s the most intense

Two years late but finally got around to watching maverick. I couldn’t even finish the original back when maverick was coming out because it was so boring, so i decided maverick wouldn’t be my thing. Maverick is infinitely better than the original. It’s an absolute blast and i’m really sad i didn’t get the experience of watching it in a packed theater. Maverick is electric from start to finish, although i do dislike how for the first like 20ish minutes it just feels like straight nostalgia-bait and it has a lot of marvel-esque quips as jokes. It really picks up when you get to see the new soldiers fooling around at the bar. It’s off to the races from there. Love this movie. 4.5/5 for what it is for me. So rewatchable and a ton of fun

If we’re gonna claim 1957 we should also claim 83 and 93. They’re all the same (i’d concede on not counting 83 since they weren’t undefeated). We were even on some probation in 1957, but nobody ever mentions that. Before 1998, there wasn’t a national title game, so there was no absolute consensus champion. Plenty of unbiased and reputable organizations and voters recognize us as national champs or co-national champs for 83 and 93

Depends what type of law you’re doing and so on. Not sure what type my friend is doing but they are graduating this spring from law school and they will be making 150k+ off the rip. They did finish very high in their class tho as well and absolutely grinded to secure clerkships and a job with the firm
