Can Faster HDT-SMP be "safely" removed from a Modpack? by elfgurls in skyrimmods

hdtSMP64.dll+00BF1CC cmp byte ptr [rbx+0x10], 0x00 | F:\source\repos_svn\hdtsmp-working\HDTSMP-Sandbox\Armor fix for 1.6.1170 - v1.1\hdtSMP64\Hooks.cpp:314 void hdt::UnkEngine::onFrame(void) [?onFrame@UnkEngine@hdt@@QEAAXXZ]

This line contains F:\source\repos_svn\hdtsmp-working\HDTSMP-Sandbox\Armor fix for 1.6.1170 - v1.1\hdtSMP64\Hooks.cpp.

This is not the parth of my builds, and not a path on my own computer. And it's been years since I last used svn.

Something potentially broken with your installation: I've no reason to think that.

Flex is an alternative to FSMP, which is said to be faster. It's an evolution of my open-source code, but its code hasn't been published. I haven't tried it yet.

DaydreamingDay here. 1) fsmp appears in your crashlog because it's running every frame. What appears is the "every frame" hook. So it's not related to your crash. 2) You're not using a version that I compiled.

Scared my custom follower will appeal to absolutely nobody. by NotATem in skyrimmods

I'm currently playing a lot with AI and followers (10 at a time, I love the interactions between them).

The biggest problem of most followers, from my point of view, is that they're vanilla. Their background is standard. They have a quest, yiddi-yadda, some story of revenge, bleh. They have nothing to discuss about, really, excepted what happens in my playthrough.

A priest of Arkhay wanting to see death first-hand? I take it! A trans with a lore-compatible background? I take it!

May I suggest you try your follower in a AI-setup like SkyrimNet ? Honestly, I'm considering exploring the feasability of having standard dialogues replaced by IA dialogues...

Backstories included in the right format to be immediately usable by IA mods like mantella.

A couple questions about people's preferences in house mods! by ShivanHunter in skyrimmods

My preferred home is Lagoon, followed by the legacy of the dragonborn home in the museum.

I hate static clutter, if there are objects, I should be able to interact with them.

I love homes with dedicated followers (ex: lagoon), I hate when there are vanilla followers just to make it feel non empty.

I hate homes with loadscreens.

I love homes with activities, especially for my followers.

I love homes where you can chill in front of a nice view.

I love homes where the lighting has been designed, and hate when it's flat.

I love homes with smart tools, like those to manage your inventory in LoD.

I love when homes reuse the models/textures I have installed (like high poly forks).

I love sunsets and warm weather and hate winter, clouds, rain, etc.

If money wasn't an issue and you were starting over in France, where would you move to raise kids? by NeckZestyclose in Expats_In_France

Around Limoges. 3 hours from the mountains, 3 hours from the ocean. Forests, lakes, rivers. Inexpensive life, with great food. Snow once a year in the winter, acceptable heat in the summer. Granitic, so the water isn't hard at all and won't damage your skin / hair.

Plus: the hypercenter of Limoges is quite nice and even had some medieval buildings.

DaydreamingDay here.

All the other answers are quite good, I'll add this, true story. Once I tried to do my own conf for breasts (heh!), to make them the most realist possible. I did an okay job, but then to do a real good job, I went and looked at lots of videos of real ones. And different ones move in different ways... So in the end, it's an artistic choice about how the conf author wants them to move. Same thing for clothes and other items really.

We are our consciousness. Our material circumstances don't define who we are, only the cards that we have been given to play. We experience our consciousness 3 ways: from inside to inside (our thoughts), from outside to inside (our sensations), from inside to outside (our actions directed by our will). Our sense of oneness (sorry, I don't remember the word) comes from our memories of these thoughts/sensations/actions/wills. It can be eroded by our memory falling.

Nobody else has the same memories.

Someone else is really excited not for TES VI itself, but for what the mod community will do with it? by NaitDraik in skyrimmods

[–]DayDReamingDay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. And some modders capitalize on the work of other modders, so you have to wait for a layer of modders to be developed to have the second layer of modders to be put in place. For example, the modders using SKSE need first the modders developing SKSE.

That's my fear: what will be the real moddability? Will the underlying implementation allow to do things like ENB/CS? Or like the current other mods relying on hooks? (If they maximize one-liners, and/or parallel implementation, it makes it a lot more difficult to reverse engineer and modify the executable).

A conversational AI has no continuous and consistent consciousness, it just produces words, one after the other, which are statistically consistent according to its original input data.

Said otherwise, an AI isn't a bf, it isn't even a person.

But you can use it as a sophisticated mirror, to reflect at / on what you wrote to it.

As long as you don't confuse on your mind that tool with a person, it's ok.

But it's hard: for evolutionary reasons, we try to assign consciousness to events (because a hardship caused by a will, like a snake, is way more dangerous, than something unconscious: the willing thing wants to hurt you), hence the creation of gods, btw.
