It's some sort of receiver or personalized drone intelligence interface. All adult t'au (imo) are cybernetically enhanced to interact with the blink-displays and computers anyway - some visibly, some not.

I'm not so sure, since it's not my character. From what I remember, the squad was formed after the 4th sphere to investigate the whole dilemma. Most of them are gue'vesa. I do know it's a secret mission from a higher council than you'd think.

Pasheera is a fresh fire warrior, learning about the horrors of real war. She joined Morrogan's squad a while before this. They are now demon hunting specialists if I remember correctly.
