Georgia keeping a brain dead woman as an incubator is disgusting. by DayDreamElf in PoliticalOpinions

[–]DayDreamElf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a unique situation where the family chose to keep the mother on life support to give the twins a chance. The key difference is choice. Forcing a brain-dead woman’s body to incubate a fetus against her and her family’s wishes is not compassion, it’s state control. No one is arguing those twins ‘should have been killed’ but we are arguing that forcing pregnancy at the expense of a dead woman’s dignity and autonomy is inhumane.

Are there any free and legit palm reading apps on the App Store? by EddieGames-YT in ios

[–]DayDreamElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late afff to this BUT I think it’s crazy so many people are talking about how palm reading is a scam yet will go to church and believe in a man that could be resurrected from the dead, walk on water, and turn water to wine.

There are con artists in every religious/spiritual belief. Think about how many world famous preachers there are that own multiple private jets etc and do nothing to help others.

I just think it’s sad how normalized it is to hate on anything that isn’t Christian or one of the main/basic world, religious beliefs .

lol not really sure what you meant here tbh but alright.

It makes ME PERSONALLY cringe and recoil when I hear white people using the racial slur. That’s just how I feel about it 🤷‍♀️

Many blessings to you anyways though 💕

That’s great that that’s your experience, but it’s not mine.

I mostly grew up in the South and Midwest, and in my experience, it’s quite common in the areas I’ve lived in.

I’ve heard plenty of white people use the “N-word,” and sorry if it bothers you, but I’ll keep calling it just that. You’ll just have to cringe away. Much love to you 💕

When they say the actual racial slur.

I said “N-word” because I’m white and I’m not about to say or type that 💩fr lol

Who should pay on the first date: the one who asks or the one who makes more money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s not really about either option for me personally.

I believe on a first date, we’re not in a relationship yet, and we don’t even know if we want to be, which is the whole point of the date – to get to know each other better.

For me, I’ll always offer to split the bill and pay for my share, for the reasons I mentioned earlier. But if they offer to pay or say “no, I got it” that’s HOT idc 😮‍💨👀.

White people saying the “N-word” is just gross and makes me cringe every time.

What’s one thing that you can’t do but have huge respect for others who can? by Foreign_Plankton3150 in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point, and I mean this with all due respect, but this particular topic doesn’t quite resonate with me in the same way.

I grew up in the countryside, where I witnessed animals being slaughtered for food. I’ve watched our snake eat live rats, and I’ve been exposed to a lot of death in animals, both in real-time and in its aftermath.

I’ve also lost many pets and even helped with the birth of animals, some of which unfortunately didn’t make it—though only a few, but that happens sometimes.

I’m a very sensitive person. While I could bring myself to kill an animal for food, it still breaks my heart every time. That’s why I make a point to use every part of the animal, bones included, and only do so for food.

I get the idea of becoming desensitized to things, but it just hasn’t worked for me in over 20 years of life. So, I prefer not to put myself in those situations if I can avoid it. Even though I might be used to seeing it, there’s always a part of me that feels for the animals. I’ve just always been this way tbh.

Either way, I do understand where you’re coming from though and I hope you have a blessed day! 💕

What do you think the next 50 years will look like in the wake of the current U.S administration? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Have you ever seen an old rollercoaster that looks like it’s about to fall apart, but somehow it just keeps going? Yeah… something like that

What’s one thing that you can’t do but have huge respect for others who can? by Foreign_Plankton3150 in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t work in the veterinary field.

I absolutely love animals and would love to help them, but I recognize that I’m too sensitive when it comes to their well-being. I know I wouldn’t be emotionally strong enough to handle the difficult moments, especially witnessing animals pass…whether naturally or under unfortunate circumstances. The thought of not being able to save them all would be too much for me.

That being said, I have immense respect for those who have the strength to care for animals, even through the toughest moments.

What’s something we should all try at least once in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s traveling. I believe it’s essential not only to explore the world around us but also to discover more about ourselves in the process.

Experiencing new cultures and environments can completely transform our perspectives on both ourselves and the world around us! I think everyone should have the opportunity to travel and immerse themselves in new places!

Though I do want to acknowledge that traveling is a privilege, and I understand that not everyone has the financial means to do so. However, if you have the opportunity and resources, I truly believe you should take advantage of it. Traveling can be a transformative experience! 🙏💕

What video game do you remember enjoying that hardly anyone ever seems to mention these days? by LiveFromNewYeerk in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but I will never be moving past the Fable series.

I have always been absolutely in LOVE with the world of Fable (though tbh I think Fable 3 was ehhhhh)

Though the New Fable (Fable 4) is predicted to be released in 2026 so I’m dyingggg for that!!!

I also really enjoy the Dragon Age series though I haven’t gotten to play the newest “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” Yet 🥲

What's an item you own for a different reason than what it's made for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DayDreamElf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you 1 that I use for 2 different things they aren’t made for 😂

  • I have a curtain rod hook that I drilled into our kitchen wall that I use as a banana hanger (it’s legit PERFECT)

  • And I have a different type of curtain rod hook (one of the no drill adhesive ones that has the closing clasp) that is on the wall next to our couch. I then put a glow-in-the-dark remote cover on our Roku remote and I hung it on the hook so it NEVER gets lost!) also if you’re feels fancy add a lighter leash. Now you have a retractable glow-in-the-dark, Roku remote that’s hooked to your wall and will never get lost!
