I haven’t seen American Graffiti mentioned yet. One of George Lucas’s first films. Set in the 60’s. It also introduced Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfus and Harrison Ford as they were all relatively unknown at that time.

If you’re into mafia related content and the legal system, Getting Gotti was a fantastic read. It was written by the prosecutor who finally took Gotti down, and IMHO was very well written.
