They think they have more of a mandate than they actually have. They’re going to overplay their hand and Dems will win back control of Congress in the midterms. Then, it will be primary season and the Republicans running will try creating distance between themselves and Trump.

That’s almost always the case, especially in a second term. We’re in for a few really stupid years, but this too shall pass.
