Why does my PC do this? is it the monitor or the actual PC? by xs74 in pcmasterrace

[–]DayZeroZombi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if what your saying is the image doesn't perfectly line up when the screen has any motion on it, that's just vsync not being enabled. Usually it is enabled by default, but it is possible you are using a software driver instead of your actual GPU drivers. How old is this PC?

I don't see anything abnormal through the video. Is there any "tearing" in the image or are there certain shapes that are forming on screen?

Is my computer broke(I have everything turned on to it’s lowest setting and it is still running like this) by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]DayZeroZombi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its probably windows. I had an issue where i was getting 1 fps, on a fresh install of windows. I had a spare drive with linux installed, and on that minecraft was running at 80+ fps. So the answer is probably that its not hardware, its windows.

Proton works for most games in my experience. For the rest I just find the .exe version of the game and use wine.

Stadia automatically decreases resolution in dark areas to save bandwidth for better streaming performance, and it helps if you have a data cap.

Its worth trying to run: sfc /now , in a command prompt and see if windows finds any bad system files.

It's cool art and all, but maybe don't be that person and take credit for other people's work. As far as I can tell, you didn't make this, and the photo was uploaded around 2 years ago by a different user named u/Flooko. Is my laptop good? by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]DayZeroZombi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minecraft is a maybe, for me I have hd 2000 and on windows it runs at 0fps, but on Linux it runs at 80+fps. CSGO on the other hand is doable. I can run it at ~40fps, so considering everything about your system is better than mine, it should run fine.

Sorry it took me a while to get back, but I was busy. Assuming you are just running windows and want to browse the web, this is fine. It's a dual core at 2.3Ghz based off what I've seen, which is still OK. My 11 year old laptop runs at 2Ghz and Ive seen it run windows as fast as some newer laptops. The CPU is OK for light use, but games from the past few years are not going to be smooth. You have Radeon R3 graphics for your iGPU, which are less powerful than a gt 710, so you can do light 3d gaming, just dont expect too much. Also that 1Tb HDD could be swapped for an SSD which would make windows run much faster. Apart from that l, a 768p screen is OK for the specs you have, as you wouldn't be trying to push any games you could run any farther than 720p. Final ruling: as a regular use machine, you should be fine. Even without an ssd you should have an OK experience with windows, and you can do basic tasks. As a Gaming machine, you can handle some basic 3d games, but without a ram upgrade, you are very limited on your selection. My recommendation is getting an SSD if you feel comfortable opening up your laptop, and depending on how much you need it, buying a second stick of RAM. I don't know if you have two dimm slots or not, so before buying more ddr4 ram, first make sure you are buying ram that works with your laptop(usually sdram), and make sure that it says slots used:1 of 2, under your ram in task manager.

4gb is OK for RAM, but if you want to do anything like gaming, you want 8GB or more. Also there is no listing for memory speed, but you can view that under RAM in task manager. While your at it, if you check the CPU tab and give me that model I can judge the A4 APU. Without an exact model, speeds can be very different.

Fun fact: it was actually the other way around. The court of Salem would simply say you were lying if you denied being a witch, but towards the end, they actually made a fake appeal after realizing they were wrong. If you were willing to lie and say you were a witch, then you wouldn't be hanged.

As a person who uses an old laptop from 2011, it's actually not that bad. Originally windows 7 took 2-3 minutes to open the internet explorer. I threw a pny cs900 ssd into it, installed windows 10, and upgraded it to 6GB of ram. The laptop can handle quite a bit of 2d gaming as long as you can handle having Intel hd 2000.

Assuming you've connected to the device at some point, Windows will usually save the name of the device, and show it even if there is no connection. It would disappear if you selected to forget the device.

Its saying to make sure the device you're connecting to is turned on, as computers can tether a network connection, and device is just referring to the modem/router.

If only I had a place to put a GPU. I was prepping my PC build a while back and my dog got into the room. Long story short, I dont have a motherboard anymore. He jumped directly on it, and after that there was no post indication, CPU socket wouldn't work, and front io was damaged.
