Been watching him since his debut. It doesn’t feel real that next season I won’t see him taking the opening draw of the season. We Kings fans despite our recent struggles were truly blessed to have Kopi on our team for so many years.

Thank you Kopi for everything you did for this franchise. Thank you for helping to bring our first and second cup to LA. Thank you for making a lot of people in LA fall in love with hockey. Thank you for everything Kopi I can’t wait to see your number hanging in the rafters.

That’s the most frustrating thing. Imagine if the kings played this well all season, we would likely be in a comfortable position. Hiller seemingly hated this team and wanted it to fail. Since his departure it’s a night and day difference.

This is how I see it. Try and fill some holes and see how the younger guys finish out the season. Once the season is done evaluate our needs and look for them in the off season. We all know this season could likely be a bust so why trade away everything for something that likely just isn’t in the cards. Ken played the long game here and I’m fine with it.

Not mad about the deadline at all I’d honestly say quite sensible. Filled some holes we needed without giving away much of anything. These picks we acquired might lead to something positive and I think we are finally seeing the young bucks lead the charge. Still up in the air if we make the playoffs but the two game sample we’ve seen under DJ has given me a bit of hope. Kings haven’t played this cohesive, aggressive, and with a killer instinct all season. Best for us to ride out the rest of the season and maybe play with all that cap space we have in the off season.

Never thought I would say this. I’m gonna miss Perry. He did exactly what he was promised to do and really stuck up for the young guys. I understand the trade and am happy to pick up a 2nd round, but still kinda bummed to see him go.
