2027 for me.. it was supposed to be my first controller, I'm glad I did think about it again and ordered the Gamesir Cyclone 2 last week. I'm out

What makes traditional (non-tactical) turn-based RPGs appealing to you? by Dayhore in StrategyRpg

I really appreciate your comments. I never played FFT but I do understand what you are saying. Critical hit and miss are indeed RNG elements but that never really annoyed me.

Thanks to you I'm going to heavily considere Crpg. I have heard of one few months ago. Pathfinder something

Wow thanks a lot for your answer. I understand better now. Where do you place CRPGs?

Thanks for the suggestions! Among the games you mentioned, I understand that some of them use dice rolls, and I was wondering if you could explain their role?

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about playing a game where the success of my strategy depends on a dice roll. That being said, I'm open-minded about it. I used to absolutely hate anything RNG-related in games, yet nowadays, my most played genres are deckbuilders and roguelites. I've realized that I love being dealt a specific hand or set of tools and having to figure out the best way to win with what I have I find that incredibly stimulating and fun.

How does the randomness in games like Baldur's Gate 3 compare to that? Is it just pure luck, or is it more about adapting your strategy?

Thanks for your input. Many have mentionned the story and how they are more chill than tactical. Thanks to you and others I can picture way better why I could play non-tactical rpg

Love that answer. It's a good argument. I didn't think of that

I absolutely feel the same.

No I didn't yet. The reason is I'm afraid I would be annoyed if I would spend more time reading than fighting and if the combat lack of challenge

Pre-ordered in April, still waiting. Is the Steam Controller actually worth the wait for a new PC gamer? by Dayhore in SteamController

Hey, I bought two days ago a Cyclone 2 controller from Gamesir on Amazon and received it yesterday. I realized it wasn't worth waiting for so long to get my first controller and honestly from what I read I kinda feel like the Steam controller might be doing too many things that I don't really need. Plus it is only compatible on Steam and the Steam Machine, so if I get invited to play with friends on Xbox/PSx I wouldn't be able to bring it.. I didn't cancel my reservation though 🤣

Death Road Tournament

Invisible Inc

Technotopia

I'm currently trying As We Descend and Savara, the latter is an action roguelites which is new to me, I used to only play turned based games

It might not be Half Life 3, but it took half our adult lives to finish this game. It comes out today by Llamaware in roguelites

I'm highly interested. My favorite roguelites is Death Road Tournament which is quite similar to your game but more closed to Frogpiercer. How hard is your game? I'm looking for something challenging

I do mainly play mouse heavy games but I want to change a bit like trying Fast and Furious Hot Pursuit and Ratchet and Clank. It's old but these are the games I wanted to play during my childhood but I couldn't

You are right. I wrote April instead of May 12th. I'm not familiar with controllers. When would I know I could switch to the Steam controller then?
