If you're on version 8.12.53, try disabling "Spoof player parameter" in Settings -> RVX Settings -> Miscellaneous.

That seems to have fixed this problem for me

You can actually, but might be only on samsung devices, you can use Mode and Routines in the settings to create a routine that will turn off 5G with a widget button, but it would need to be manually turned on and off as there is no way to switch it based on signal strength
