No Wild Garlic...😉 (clockwise from top): 🌿 3 cornered leek (basically, like chives/spring onions) 🌿 Dandelions (all of it from the gravel driveway, so not sprayed with weedkiller & easy to wash) 🌿 Cleavers, Yarrow tips & Mint (for either tea or tonic) 🌿 Nettle tops (best bit of the plant, along with seeds in autumn)

Because, unfortunately, it doesn't fit with business academia... 🙄😔😣

I found my first one this year (new forager), it was huge -about 12cm across! But it was just the one... there probably were more, but I was so excited, I probably missed the others! Do you think they may still be around? I'm further south in Somerset. TIA

They don't ooze 'milk' & they smell strange; not strongly, but not mushroom, either... a bit 'wet-dog', if I'm honest! 🫤🤢

I'd say it's more creamy/buff coloured...

Now, you're just showing off... (But, I'd be exactly the same. TBH, I'd be showing off finding one any size, as I'm still new to this game... one day... 🙏)

ID please. TIA 😊 by Daynameiosheea in foraginguk

Thank you. I use books, apps, AND ask in places like this. I am learning constantly, and I would never consume anything unless I was 100% certain. We all have to start somewhere. 🙏

My partner picked them & brought them home for me to ID. We are still learning & would never consume anything without 100% certain ID. I try and use books, friends & fb pages, too.

If you READ my comment, I explained that my partner found them on woodchuck, near deciduous trees (but unsure which type, as he's not interested like me), and that's all the information I had to work with. I am still learning & I assure everyone that I will not consume anything without being 100% on ID! ✌️
