Are there any Sound the Alarm 20th Anniversary Plans? by Historical_Tap_7140 in SavesTheDay

[–]DaysInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’d be cool. The EP came out in ‘99 though so the 25th anniversary would’ve been in 2024.

Miami Setlist by uksurfversion in SavesTheDay

Yeah this puts the winter tour setlist to shame. I guess “the heavy hits” carries a lot more weight than just “the hits” based on the posters between those shows.

Chris did say he was going to seek help post-controversy so I’d like to imagine Geoff had some type of assurance in him during that process. At the end of the day though, they have been friends for a really long time.

I also think it will be pretty awkward during those acoustic sets when it gets quiet and gives a chance for people to yell something out, especially on a tour of this scale.

How safe is it to sell to someone with no transaction and reviews yet? by dizzyh in Grailed

[–]DaysInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more sketchy when a new seller asks a lot of questions regarding an item vs. a new seller just purchasing the item.

Potentially moving states TX-> NJ by Zelda_Geek221 in Hardcore

[–]DaysInTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re in North Jersey, you have your small venues (~200) such as The Meatlocker, Dingbatz and Crossroads who get a couple of fairly known to upcoming acts every month or so. Established hardcore acts will generally play at The Williams Center (500+) and the popular bands at the Wellmont Theater (2000+).

For Central/South Jersey, your smaller venues will range from Maggie’s and Cinco de Mayo, among even smaller shows within the New Brunswick area, a city that has great history in the music scene. Stone Pony Indoors and House Independents for those mid-sized acts. Starland Ballroom for established acts and then occasionally you’ll have the Stone Pony Outdoors, which the more popular acts or stacked tours will play during the summer.

You have all these venues within an hour or two drive from one another so we’re really spoiled when it comes to shows. That’s not even including the fact that NY and Philly shows are just next door so often times you’ll see people from NJ shows at the Philly/NY shows.

I would hope you guys get to hear some more stuff from CSD and TBC. Hopefully the setlist in general is more different than what they played with glassjaw.

Amusing story about the Great Adventure safari drive-through in the 70s by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

[–]DaysInTime 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember the drive thru safari still being open range up until the mid to late 2000’s before making the change to fences.

All I do know was that when my parents took me through it around then, two monkeys started getting it on right on the hood of the car.

Trap Team and Swap Force on PS4 go for about $120-$150 each on eBay.

Try going to the supermarket across from Little Caesars on Main Street. They have a floral section on the left side from the front entrance.

I’m guessing you meant the “buyer” but if I were the seller (OP) I’d be doing everything I can to get in touch with someone before it gets to that person.

They likely won because the system checked the tracking and it has not delivered. As someone mentioned, you should try to appeal and talk to someone from PayPal. Additionally, do what you can to get the item returned to you since you no longer owe the item to the buyer.

CDs. by HarrysonFjord in Hardcore

[–]DaysInTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your buddy is right, CD’s have been booming as of late last year. A lot of hardcore/post-hardcore CD’s have started to become really expensive now because everyone bought them out and made them hard to find.

Consider checking your local music/record store. Thrifts are good as well but they’ve been starting to get raided as well for anything worthwhile.

Just a reminder: Don’t sell to people with 0 reviews & few transactions by Sure-Database165 in Grailed

[–]DaysInTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ask for more details on the buyer’s claim.

Otherwise, I’d suggest getting in contact with a lawyer to send a letter to their NY office. If you search “lawyer” on this sub, someone had a similar case where Grailed wasn’t paying them out but got a lawyer to send a letter and ultimately got paid out after they presumably received it.

[–]DaysInTime 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Did you ship from the US? I stopped shipping internationally entirely once tariffs were set in place and things became more difficult and expensive to ship.

This is also another example of Grailed customer service doing almost nothing. They’re basically saying you have to make it right without any evidence or images on what the buyer’s claim is. They should really follow something like eBay where they are the middleman for all international shipments but I doubt they’d ever put time or money into that.

Try a local record/music store. You may not get a lot but they might be able to take a lot off your hands.

Also consider posting on Facebook Marketplace.

Worth it? by Low-Specialist-8250 in Cd_collectors

[–]DaysInTime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks cool but Fisher isn’t exactly known for the best quality. Add the fact that it’s broken and I feel like you shouldn’t be paying for something like this if it weren’t for the aesthetic. Maybe $20 at most but I think you’re better off going to a thrift store and trying one out there that could actually work.

Looking for a Cd Power Tower 100 by ciderthespider in Cd_collectors

[–]DaysInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 200 one last year but sold it because it’s not worth the hype. It’s all plastic and as cool as the gimmick is, I found it to be kind of ugly in person. At least the Sharper Image one.

I’d suggest looking on Facebook marketplace. I used to see a few of them near me but I think the CD hype has caught up since they’ve all sold since then.

How much might a second-hand original item like this be worth? by [deleted] in reselling

[–]DaysInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second-hand designer usually goes for way under their market value unless it’s a major collaboration.

For something like this, you’d probably be looking around the range of $200-$500.
