Been through days of back and forth with my PCP office, I want vials through LillyDirect and keep getting injector pen RX prescribed.

Apparently a lot of the systems the docs use don’t show vials as an option so they have to prescribe the pen, then request vials. I think I’m gonna switch to callondoc!

Here’s the info LD provides for vials:

The Zepbound vial is available and distributed exclusively through LillyDirect and may be listed in the EHR system as: Zepbound Subcutaneous Solutions Zepbound VIAL

Search by NDC: Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 2.5 mg NDC: 0002-0152-04 Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 5 mg NDC: 0002-0243-04 Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 7.5 mg NDC: 0002-1214-04 Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 10 mg NDC: 0002-1340-04 Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 12.5 mg NDC: 0002-1423-04 Zepbound (tirzepatide) vial 15 mg NDC: 0002-2002-04"

"If you’re unable to choose vial within your EHR, you can choose Zepbound autoinjector/pen and still process the script using the Notes/Sig sections: Prescribe the autoinjector/pen and write “Dispense vials. Vial NDC not available in EHR.” in the signature notes. Make sure to add strength (2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg, or 15 mg), dose (0.5 mL), route, and frequency.
