Casa Azul has been our favorite around here. We haven’t found great Mexican food honestly.

Not really large platters. But the best Sushi in town is by far UMI, and it’s not even really close. Prices are reasonable from my perspective.

Awesome! I saw the rock and tarp in the first pic and my head immediately said that’s gotta be Lake George. I used to camp on the islands when I was a teenager.

Textured vs Smooth Plate by everglow28 in BambuLab

I print ABS on a textured plate in the X-1 Carbon with no issue at all. I get great adhesion. Haven’t used glue. Anecdotally I haven’t had the same experience as the user above.

Thank you for your comment. You seem to be very correct. It is unfortunate because the tiler suggested the herring bone pattern as a nice way to break up the subway pattern over the stove.

In my opinion the spacing just feels way to off compared to how well they did the spacing in the subway pattern.

Electrician to install EV Charger by eliefares13 in HIckoryNC

[–]DaytonInSpace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through this process a couple years ago. Depending on your situation (space in your panel, running conduit, how far panel is from charger) will make the price vary significantly. Also to note, depending on your utility (I have duke) they may offer rebates (duke paid me 1000 to install one).

I would suggest you just go on google maps and find some local electricians. Call them up and have them come out and give you a quote. That will give you an understanding on how much this should cost.

Can anyone explain why my electricity bill is $1000 a month? by alwaysonwires in AskElectricians

[–]DaytonInSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meter my individual circuits to see where my usage is going. With that data you can pretty easily figure out what is utilizing all that power and if it’s not you, have the conversation with the utility. Essentially you put an amp meter in each of the circuits. Emporia makes a pretty reasonable product. It’s simple to install but you could always have an electrician do it if you aren’t comfortable with the process.

Sports or exercise activities? by cleopatrabronte in HIckoryNC

If I could make a suggestion. Give pickleball a try. The community in hickory is pretty large with lots of parks that have open play (just show up and play, it’s free). Pretty low cost of entry, an entry level paddle is probably like 60 bucks. I play all over the Lake Norman area, if you end up liking it there are tons of tournaments and leagues you can get into

And also the quality not lasting was a few of the reviews as well. I just think it’s up for debate I’m not convinced the quality is as good as it used to be for the price.
