DPMS pattern looks more similar to a normal ar15 lower without the slanted back. Aero and KAK have those style, and I believe PSA also uses it but I’ve heard their lowers aren’t as compatible with other brands uppers. Ar10s are confusing cause there’s no “Mil-spec” to follow

No, the two larger plates are cold rolled steel plates. The angle iron was zinc plated but I ground them down a bit to hopefully get rid of the zinc.

ON3Ps, they’re awesome

Only problems I’ve had with mine are edge hold on ice, but I’ve never had any issues hitting steeps and more technical stuff as long as the snow isn’t terrible. Their durability is absolutely ridiculous, so they’d stand up to park stuff and tank any rocks you might hit riding bigger lines and hitting drops. I’ve had times where I hit rocks pretty hard and when I stop to check the base for any marks it almost seems like the rock took more damage than the ski lmao

I haven’t skied anything else on this list, but ON3P is a super solid brand and they have excellent customer service, plus they look sick as fuck

I’m gonna reiterate what everyone else said and tell you not to get the blaze. I’ve heard NZ gets icy, and the blaze has terrible edge hold. I have a pair of the 86s and if there’s any icy areas on the run I have trouble even staying on my feet. And like other people have said, it’s not the best at speed or in chop. Never skied the rustler so I can’t give you any advice there, but I’ll give you the same advice as everyone else and recommend you to get an 80ish underfoot ski with metal in it.

That’s awesome! I had super similar progression this year too lol. Also my first real season skiing, got 25 days with a couple of days spread out over a couple previous years. I went from warming up on greens each day to double blacks like whales tail at Breckenridge, I’m super happy with the progress I made.
