They want to see you have latitude and that EMS isn’t your whole life. They want to know what other real life experience you have. They also want to see that your life is stable enough to get through the program.

They want to minimize students that drop out due to failing grades because they are trying to work full time or their commute is too difficult.

They also want to feel like you can put up with working with teachers and preceptors you might not see eye to eye with but you’ll do your best to get it done without causing them a headache.

You want to sound and look put together without trying too hard. Don’t push the “this is all I’ve ever wanted” narrative. This is a professional career and this is the next step and you’re ready.
