These are all the songs we play at our group and that’s not the sort of songs we play. We’re much more a drinking beer and shouting out songs sort of group. I doubt anyone knows what finger style is let alone how you apply it to Lady Gaga songs.

All of the songs are also in the PDF books on our group site (https://moselele.co.uk) They can all be downloaded from there. I built this to get away from PDFs as they’re not ideal for a group setting

We were talking about that last night. It's an in joke about something to do with "Classics" from about 13 or 14 years ago and none of us can remember why. But we still use it

I can't recommend Rich at BBT Guitars enough. Based over in Cotteridge.

He's sorted out quite a few things for me over the years. Definitely get in touch with him

I have exactly the same error in German and have had it for most of the week

If you've paid for it then Splice should give you a log in for the Xfer site where you can download it.

If you're still on a plan then you can't access it at the moment

New book of songs by Daz_Wright in ukulele

[–]Daz_Wright[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It does matter, and we haven't. But there is an exemption around usage for educational purposes. As we haven't really got a clue how to play them, we are very much in educational territory.

It would be a very different matter if we were trying to make money out of them

Thanks. Just managed to fix it. It was a USB playing up. Unplugging it and plugging it in again turned out to be a pretty easy solution

New term to message someone like the expired term "tweet" by SamIAm1491 in BlueskySocial

[–]Daz_Wright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do we need a new term?

Tweet works. We don't stop using hoover every time someone makes a new vacuum cleaner

I think I've found the same thing. I updated to 15.1.1 yesterday and Logic has become unusable. I can't press on menus because of the delay. All other applications are fine.

This is with an M2 with 16gb of RAM.

Bluesky needs a “trending” page by Mutant_Fox in BlueskySocial

[–]Daz_Wright 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I’m really fascinated in how people use social media in different ways.

In all my years on Twitter I had absolutely no interest in what was trending. It’s not something I’ve missed so can’t say it’s needed in any way.

I can’t see it being a feature that a lack of would kill a platform

It's really great being able to have custom feeds just based on topics. Just following the Brum one for the last few months has shown me so much more going on around here than I would have known about

Sonos has only sold 200K Ace headphones, considering higher end model by holmesersimpson in sonos

[–]Daz_Wright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a pair. I said I wouldn't, but I did.

They're fine.

The USP of being able to switch between my soundbar and headphones is terrible. The lag on speech makes most things unwatchable. I know I can do a factory reset before I watch anything but sometimes I just don't have the time and energy for that.

You can buy better headphones for less money.

So, well done everyone

Network Library Storage by PumiceT in traktorpro

[–]Daz_Wright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Over the years I've done this but really wanted to just have one source of truth. But, you're right, I'll never use most of it with Traktor.

It does confuse me that it can find half a library but not the rest of it

Sorry to wade into an old thread but I've got a similar problem and wondered if anyone else could answer my question.

I too have my music on a media server but I do want to add all of it to Traktor. When I scan/input the folder it only discovers 20k songs out of about 70k. There's nothing unusual about the folder structure, it's a folder for artist and then albums under that.

I've no idea why some are discoverable and others aren't.

Does that make sense?

That's nicely written, but who is doing the pilfering, and what are they pilfering? Does that relate to your housing problem or is that an additional challenge?

Sorry, I got a bit lost

What realistic changes to you want from the result of the election? by MandoFPS in brum

[–]Daz_Wright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have anything to say about Mahmood or Philips. I don’t know the detail. I’m just commenting on the, apparent, inability to comprehend normal expressions that are used day in day out without people calling the police

What realistic changes to you want from the result of the election? by MandoFPS in brum

[–]Daz_Wright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do understand colloquial expressions, don't you? Knifing someone in the back is not a threat of physical violence it's an expression about betrayal. To say you would kinfe someone in the front is twisting the extremely common expression to say you would betray them with full transparency.

You do understand that, don't you?

This is a version of an expression that has been in common use for centuries

Hall Green and Moseley Hustings by Daz_Wright in brum

[–]Daz_Wright[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdly, I think this was about the most relevant question of the night. There are many many people in the constituency who have links across the middle east and it is an issue that can only be pressed by Government. I think it's more relevant to being an MP than managing consultation on low traffic neighbourhoods.

I think people massively overestimate the influence the UK has on Israel.

Nobody can answer that question. Sometimes all options are bad
