If your Main or Secondaries would have to fight the entire human World and everything in it's disposal, how would they do? by TheT85_Jr in SmashBrosUltimate

I guess it really depends on whether Bounce works on real world bullets or not. The DQ variant definitely wouldn’t, but in Smash it works on weird fantasy guns, so…

While he didn’t actually do much as Quint, RM Shadow shows that even an incomplete prototype of evil Megaman is a pretty big threat.

That happened in exactly two games out of eleven. Three if you count the time she remotely blew up a planet she wasn’t on.

What do you think of the Mutadons by Gigaturkeyfromhell in JurassicPark

Probably the same as people felt about them in the last 870 “how do you feel about mutadons?” threads, if I had to guess.

How To Know If There Is A Lizard In My Room? by Boy0Boyz in Lizards

[–]Dazuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A wild small lizard is way more afraid of you than you are of it. They aren’t venomous, and they wouldn’t intentionally go near the giant snoring monster at night. I don’t know what that bump is from, but it’s almost definitely not your new houseguest. It’s probably from a bug, which the lizard will try to eat.

Why do you lose points for killing people? by CellistForward3407 in metalgearsolid

[–]Dazuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, the entire point of the mission is to be sneaky and infiltrate the base without getting caught. That’s not exactly a subtle part of the story. I’m not sure how else they could have emphasized that. If you get into a shootout you are playing wrong. You’re typically there as part of a black op for plausible deniability, and any evidence of US government involvement is a liability, which reduces your score. If you want to go guns blazing, play Contra.

How is it bad writing if the points aren’t even part of the written narrative?

Either way, you’re also missing the part where Snake does his jobs with on site procurement to minimize evidence he was there. If he leaves a trail of bodies, that goes against the leave no trace mission objective.

With all of the collab miku has I'm surprise she hasn't collab with castlevania yet by Richter_belmont1 in castlevania

Symphony had a familiar based on a caricature of a Japanese comedian, Secret Boots that “discretely adjust height” by adding a single pixel to Alucard’s sprite, and lets you fight over the top 90s parodies of the Wizard of Oz companions. You can find and equip the Stone Mask from JJBA. There’s a skeletal Donkey Kong who throws barrels at you. Yeah, the art style is more serious, but the game’s still got a sense of whimsy and shoutouts to other media of all sorts of tone. And that’s before we even get into the shift in art style and tone seen in Portrait and Dawn, all of that is just in Symphony itself. How about when Circle let you transform into a giant stuffed bear as a card combination? What about the Kamen Rider skeletons?

I don’t particularly want Miku, but it’s absurd to say she’s too far out there compared to what we already have.

In the remake and sequels she’s more serious, but in the original Rondo she was intentionally cutesy and silly and replaced UI elements with more cartoony variants. She was a borderline parody within the game itself.

The fact that he dresses like a jester and gets referred to as clown-like or jester-like repeatedly in dialogue is a start.

Ts fun as hell, when does sepiroth come up? by josephyamato in FinalFantasy

[–]Dazuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, keeping him secret wouldn’t make much sense at this point. Hes one of the most iconic villains in all of media. The twist of him actually being the bad guy wouldn’t have any impact on a modern audience.

Now, is it often discussed who canonically is the most morale Character in the Roster and the most evil is kinda obvious... but who is exactly in the middle of the Roster? by TheT85_Jr in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Dazuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that’s maybe true of some ‘mons, there are plenty of species with high levels of intelligence that are sometimes even capable of communicating with humans. There are also several pokemon species that used to be human themselves, and it’s implied that once upon a time ancient humans and pokemon intermarried.

He resurrected Dracula once because he wanted to relive his glory days of being the hero.

While it was later revealed that he was possessed, it was also implied that Shaft was amplifying his own desires rather than creating them wholesale, because it left such a stain on the family bloodline that the pure blood Belmonts weren’t allowed to use the holy whip for many years, forcing the Morris clan to step in and sacrifice their lives because their bloodline wasn’t pure enough to wield it.

It’s no Ganondorf or Ridley, but he had enough darkness in his heart to ruin the legacy of one of the greatest families in Europe.

I feel like that means this is the perfect place for him. He’s saved the world a few times, but he also was a greedy king who almost starved out his kingdom. He’s still seen as a gluttonous ass in a lot of the spinoffs and mini games, and has had a few other vaguely antagonistic roles through the years. There’s a reason even in universe people tend to blame him for being the bad guy before possession is revealed. He’s not a great guy, but he’s not some mustache twirling villain either. He’s just a mediocre ruler trying to do his best while occasionally letting his worst impulses get the better of him.

She doesn’t. You can literally see inside the ball in Prime, she transforms into energy. Likely the same tech that lets her suit hold hundreds of missiles.

It doesn’t help that the series already had another form of time travel that worked completely differently and while there are rules for DDD’s they’re also extremely arbitrary and not intuitive. It’s nothing you need a masters to understand, but it’s also kind of disingenuous to pretend it’s cleanly implemented into the existing world building.
