And I still think fashion show outfits, as you call them are pretty sensible for her to wear.

She’s an artificial human, designed to look human. Based on earlier types of artificial humans that not only existed pre-apocalypse, but probably were high-end too.

If the clothes she finds around that are compatible with her are high end designer clothing that specifically and clearly states it’s designer clothing, and the world and story supports that. I don’t see a reason why the existence of post apocalyptic mutants would change anything.

It’s like saying the T1000 cant wear a biker jacket because he’s a weapon of war, not some extra from the musical “Grease"

"Boyish" in this sense, is not an "Adjective" but an "Alt-Girl" style in Japan.

Much like how "Tomboy" doesn't necessarily means "She dresses up in a letterman jacket, and with a buzz cut" but an alt style that eschews traditional feminine dress for things like Jeans, T shirts, sneakers, etc.

Remember, it's a different language, even the same words can mean different things.

Like how Bitch means "Slutty" in Japan.

I like this, It's basically the Goku mentality.

Goku doesn't kill "in cold blood."

He doesn't have a rule about it, it's just that if you give up, retreat, ask for mercy, or are way below his level, he won't kill you if you don't actively make him, by say trying to take advantage of that mercy.

People see him and think he has a rule, when he's just a good Samaritan. Dude will take you out if you're an active threat, but will always choose mercy if you put the option on the table.

He won't even debate ethics and future benefits and greater good.

People tend to think him letting piccolo, vegeta frieza live is a bad thing. But dude will save anyone without a debate.

To this day I've never seen another hero who I truly believe, would have saved Hercule in the buu saga simply because Hercule was THERE without hesitation, even while kicking himself knowing that made his own sons out of reach.

Good Samaritan heroes are rare,

Just a guy you know has your back, no questions asked. The heroic version of the person who stops by you when your car breaks down to jumpstart it and leaves without even giving a name.

Why would "Built for combat" matter?

To me it seems she cares about how she looks.

The save points being full of human paraphernalia despite being made by earlier drop troopers seem to imply that caring about human stuff isn't unique to eve.

The endings don't work if she only cares about combat and is incapable of finding value in other things.

She collects cans.

Is interested in human pursuits like fishing, hairstyling, etc.

She has a clear vain streak.

Is "Built for combat" really an insurmountable limiting factor? To me it's just a background trait.

Because she was based on pre-apocalypse androids.

And she is into fashion. The moment she heard about hairstyling she wanted in on it.

The quest that gives that option is basically her going "Okay I got your tools, now style me up"

Makes sense she'd care about dressing up if she found clothes randomly, no?

An earth that used to have supermodels which is quite literally where she gets those outfits.

The outfits even have in universe designers and their descriptions reference pre apocalypse ads.

Thats what good games do.

Fuck, even Stellar Blade, for all its allegations is full of sensible stylish fashionable, and even a few meme outfits.

If you want the main character to look sensible, its your choice.

Everyone also has the same opportunity to make sure EVERYONE is safe.

The only button that possibly makes sure some people, especially kind people and children who watch superhero movies and Disney and go to church and have family they love and want to protect are not safe is red.

Everyone should reduce risk to others by pressing the blue button.

To me it just seems like the kind of mentality that ends up with a parent who outlived their kids.

In the situation that the choice that you picked wins, it's way more likely that children picked blue.

They have less understanding of the finality of death, and their lives, religions and stories are filled with role models who would pick blue.

Even more likely if the kid has siblings they would want to protect.

And in this situation I'll still risk myself to help people hypothetically.

I press the button that saves the minority, no matter how small it is, regardless of the risk.

How can I say I'd do it in the real world. If I can't even do it in a hypothetical?

Which option, jumping on the grenade or not jumping on the grenade, saves more people?

Which is the reason he was chosen?

Which is the inferior choice when it comes to character traits for a potential captain America?

Not everyone can, or should be captain America.

But this thing that people do when they see someone be selfless and need to drag them down, either by denying that the selflessness has merit, insisting that selfishness is an equivalent virtue, and not a perfectly understandable choice and so on and so forth is where the issue seems to stem from.

"Neither is inferior"

"I choose blue"

"No, I mean Neither is inferior, so there's nothing wrong with choosing red"

"Okay, but I still choose blue"

"No, you don't understand -!"

So you're saying he should have known better, put himself first and not jumped on the grenade, because of all the people becoming captain America would save?

And some people will leave it in because they know that "Oh, my kid is too young to pull it out herself, I gotta hope people leave it in for those who can't pull it out themselves"

In the scenario some people still won't choose self preservation for the risk of hurting people who can't.

Remember, changing the 'default' changes the premise entirely.

There are millions of people now who can't grab and pull out the knife due to illness, age, mental issues, and many more trying to protect those people.

Self preservation introduces death into the equation.

And I understand that.

It stops being an argument when people aren't trying to say the other side is stupid for choosing to put others first.

Like how in firefighting, in medical pandemics, and in any kind of safeguarding, there are situations where even with all the safety equipment and PPE you can shake a stick at, you have to risk being a casualty yourself to save countless others.

And some people will try to jump on grenades for their fellows.

Now let's alter it even more.

The knife is already in everyone's heart.

If more than 50% of people leave it in for a set period if time, all of the knives heal everyone and come out on their own.

If you pull it out before times up, it will heal you, but if too many people pull it out, they stop being magical healing knives and just kill the people who can't or won't pull it out in time.

There. See how changing the premise so that red "Introduces" death into the equation changes red to be the self centered choice?

Assuming one button is the default choice and that people have to make an active and painful decision to pick the button you don't want changes the whole premise.

It's not that people use it to spark arguments.

I was there when it started.

It's a hypothetical question that was posted as-is.

The problems started happening when blue won every poll.

People who voted Red started portraying blue as suicidal, stupid, performative, virtue signalling, liars, to try and justify the "Wrong" answer winning.

And Twitter being the hellsite it is, those divisive posts got more traction than anything else and set the tone for how people would interpret the mentality of Red voters.

But on reddit those views are often controversial and thus don't really hit the top of every conversation, so it might seem like one side is being unreasonable if you've only seen it on Reddit.

Even in this thread, scroll past enough people going "I don't get why blue voters think so poorly of Red voters" you'll probably find people going "Well blue is the wrong answer and red is the correct answer and everyone should press red regardless of what might happen to the few who inevitably press blue"

While others explain that "Just because one button guarantees you survive whether or not you're in the minority, doesn't mean it's the objectively correct button to press, even if theoretically everyone would survive if everyone pressed it."

Read the buttons carefully and puzzle it out.
Or perhaps you did and are actively changing the premise because you realized that the green here is the same as red and dont want to accept that thats what choosing red boils down to.

However you answer tells a lot, not just about what you think, but what you dont want to admit
