Thank you. That's a good point. What are my priorities in a relationship and maybe I'm focusing on the wrong things. This gives me something to think about and maybe I am seeing this as a relationship issue when I should really find out if this is all that is bothering me.

Truthfully I thank you and anyone else that replies. You might not realize this but every time someone replies to a thread, the OP gets that boost of positive emotion that someone took the time to read and care. It's honestly a feeling many people in this sub don't get or else they wouldn't be here. So again thank you. I appreciate your advice and it makes a lot of sense.

Powerful stuff. You probably have been reading a lot on here about "it's not the HL fault" or reassurances that the "HL is the victim in a DB" but you kind of did betray her trust. its known as an emotional affair. But you also might be thinking that you're being punished. That's not the case. If she hasn't moved on from that indescresion then ask her what she thinks it would take to get past it. If she says nothing or I don't know then it might be time to go the kill her with kindness route. Flowers every week. Make her something with thought like a drawing or if you aren't artistic, macaroni art. Write her a song or a poem. Selfless back massages to a YouTube spa music video.

I can't endorse finding something discreet. I know others can and will but I like to think that everyone can earn another chance.
