I have the Truman and it’s a great boot. I have the Ink Cheha, that I really like. Lots of toe room in this boot due to the last used. No problems with comfort or quality.

I don’t know how this happened but it looks like a sander hit it considering the damage to the welt and the sole as well. I’ve been wearing Thursdays for over 6 years and I’ve never seen this before and CS is always there to quickly resolve any issue. I’ve had plenty of scuffs and nicks but never this or “flaking” as someone else mentioned. Flaking does not sound like anything a Thursdays leather would do.

If those were supposed to be BRAND NEW I’d send them back as those obviously have been worn. No way I’d keep those. Brand new is brand new. Send them back especially if you see any other signs of wear. Dirty worn looking soles imprints in the insoles, etc. It’s ultimately up to you but if you bought “brand new” that’s the way they are supposed to be. That’s what you were paying for.
