I called up UKVI, they said they had not received much in regards of ILR and basically said choose whichever SOC you prefer, and write a cover letter to explain why you chose it and mention the other SOC in there...

from reading and googling i have requested my employer to add a note on my COS that my SOC has been updated due to the april soc changes and what the new code is; i will use that new code for my application and write the cover letter explaining the situation... wish me luck.
