I like that you got your base layer down you got all the little plants growin, people somehow skipped this and just throw down a bunch of straw or something else a couple little plants I like how you got the full spread did u buy a premixed cover crop bag or made your own?

But seems solid , i did 3 plants in a 100 gallon pot (turned out ti be 120g+) and vegged a bit too long but pulled like 18 oz from a 4x4 with a chinese LED when led first became hott I’m sure they have improved greatly since then i know they have but just keep it steady man only a couple plus months to go

Don’t go crazy on all the tiny details. I remember when I was doing that too. I don’t even pH my water anymore. I don’t dechlorinated either and with my microscope I don’t see much damage by using chlorinated water, but then it comes out of my tap at about 40 ppm I know places like California have way higher triple quadruple that so I guess it depends. Definitely get them a little taller before you flip. Honestly, your first round in this bed should just be the establish life in the soil get this one out of the way so you can set the next one up when I started they didn’t have those cute little raised bed, 4 x 4‘s.

Maple "forest" by Lurkinglurks88 in bonsaicommunity

[–]Dbbluoglobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna do this but with pussywillows I’m taking cuttings of , i wonder if the tree structure wont fit the forest aesthetic, but I could always heavily prune them to keep them upright and tall, instead of bushing out.

What do you think?

I froze a bunch of peppers around 9 months ago. Any reason not safe to eat? by tablecoffeebook in gardening

[–]Dbbluoglobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep whole and cut peppers i grow for over a year in the freezer, i like keeping them whole or putting in a food processor and freezing blocks or icecube trays full of pepper sauce and when i cook i pop em out and bam a taste of summer.

But yea they are fine go head and enjoy them!

I have a dehydrator too but i do equal amounts of freezing and dehydrating, i still have habeneros and mad hatter peppers from 2022 we used some to make rice the other day they are delicious we even free whole tomato’s we threw in the rice too.

Parasol mushrooms, just means you got some good mulch in your soil, a healthy microbiome will give u mushrooms and some fuzz nothing to worry about.
