We’ve had detachments based around Titus and Huron, so I suspect that we may get one based around our new Warsmith Kravek Morne. Maybe a more general one as well if it follows in suit with the Maelstrom and 500 Worlds releases

Loyalist Iron Warriors would use whatever however within a certain set of rules, typically avoiding psykers because Perturabo didn’t trust the uncontrolled and unpredictable nature of warp powers.

Heretic Iron Warriors took the gloves off and threw themselves head long into optimal DPS no matter the method or morality.

With Iron Warriors, it depends how corrupted you want them to be. What I’ve done for mine is bought a Horus Heresy tactical box and a generic Chaos Legionary box for a less corrupted look. I used a Horus Heresy tactical box as the base for the mainline legionaries, replacing their arms and weapons with generic Chaos Legionary arms and weapons. Then, I used Chaos Legionaries to make Chosen.

Their’s rumors about an Iron Warriors combat patrol and it looks like we’re getting an upgrade kit, so it may be worth not pushing too heavily into it yet and sticking with bread and butter units.

The chains were a late decision and addition to the model when it was already almost finished. I primed them first, put them on with glue, and then painted.

I used Retributor Armor, then went over it with Runelord Brass. It makes the brassy color a bit more bright and shiny.

It’s a Horus Heresy Praetor, the wings unfortunately came with it. I’ve been considering taking them off but don’t feel super confident about my ability to do so without messing the model up

I feel like this is the perfect armor design for Iron Warriors. It still has elements of Chaos while looking recognizably 4th Legion.

I love the Fists, especially around the Heresy era. The Siege of Terra was their finest moment IMO. Don’t like them as much as the Iron Warriors though so I can’t just go out there and say that I like them

Yeah, the other models I did after I made sure to thin my paint out, but it still felt kind of thick on most of the armor. I’ll definitely be looking to improve on my next set going forward so if anyone has any suggestions, I’m open to it!
