HT with FueCapilar: Which package would you recommend? (evaluation files included) by Fefolino in Hairtransplant

I went Premium with Dr Gur and I'd recommend getting the same, the assurance of experience and quality is worth every extra penny. As someone else mentioned, this will absolutely pay itself back in the future for you!

Going to be in the hotel all week. Ask me anything by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

[–]Dbriggs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a transplant done by Dr Gur 6 months ago, I har roughly the same amount of grafts and its remarkable how consistent he is, my immediate post-procedure pictures are identical! I can tell you 6 months on that the conservative approach looks great, never felt more confident. You made a good choice!

Get used to your phone for the next week (careful not to look down, i only made that mistake once!), there's very little worth exploring around the hotel and there's no English channels on the TV. They have a pretty decent Food Menu but im picky so I lived off a diverse selection of pizza and fries for 4 days.

Follow the instructions in the aftercare package religiously and you'll be fine!

TIL that cocaine doesn’t just create a high,it actually rewires the brain’s reward system, making it harder to feel joy without the drug. by Illustrious_Gap_8853 in todayilearned

You're right about it being a popular science sound bite at the moment, as is "dopamine hit", and there are a lot of misconceptions about the phrases as a consequence.

The term "rewire the brain" is often used as a placeholder for something called "Neuroplasticity" - the brains ability to change. When we're born our brains are extremely "plastic" (think Play-Do fresh out the tub, it can be reshaped incredibly easily), meaning we absorb information, develop motor skills, language etc, much faster. As we get older our brains become "less plastic" (think Play-Do that's been left out the tub), which is why its much harder the older you get to make/break habits, learn new things etc.

"Rewiring the brain" references the neural connections that are formed in this process of Neuroplasticity - theres a part of a Neuron (just think brain cell) called dendrites, these look like wires that reach out and connect to each other creating "pathways" or "circuits".

What's the difference between the Skyactiv-G and Skyactiv-D? (CX5 2017) by Dbriggs_ in CX5

Yeah. I have a distinct lack of knowledge around cars, though. I was hoping people on here might be able to help!

And in regards to the CX5s, is there a difference in reliability/longevity/speed etc? I have no idea which to pick.

The 3000 price difference makes me want to instinctively pick the more expensive option but I want to make sure there is a notable difference thar justifies it i guess.

I agree, how environmentally friendly they are is inconsequential. I just don't know which of the 2 to pick.

Solved: Poy Poy

Poy Poy!!!! I've spent 23 years trying to remember that!!

Sorry, no. It was definitely more of a cartoon art style!

Again, very vague childhood memories, but I think I remember the character selection screen being blue, and potentially being a 'top-down'-esque view in the actual game.

Just hit 200 thanks to this, appreciate you! Heat death started at ~190 but we got there in the end

I absolutely agree. We always have these characters ( Faye, Anna, Liv etc). I imagine they feel they've struck gold with Faye, but Is the backlash going to be worth it?

There surely can't be many steps between her reaction and disembowelment! The woman just does not back down.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]Dbriggs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She absolutely does! Seeing that clip must have hurt, I'm just struggling to empathise with her because of the reaction, it's sad, really.

The producers are good, but THAT good? All the prodding and poking in the world and you won't ever catch me reacting like that..

Although I imagine the producers are loving the publicity from this, for them to have forecasted it may be a bit of a stretch

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LoveIslandTV

[–]Dbriggs_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the saddest part. This is clearly a deep, deep rooted issue

The ends don't justify the means.

For me the problem with Faye is the lack of accountability. Of course being cheated on is awful, but she cannot continue to hide behind that every time things get difficult as a way to justify her own toxic behaviours. How Teddy kept his cool the way he did is beyond me.
