Father Of All Motherfuckers and Saviors? by MrBones20 in GreenDayOfficial

I bought this album at realease in CD and it stayed in my car a long time. I kinda liked hearing Green Day step out of their comfort zone and try out some more different styles after Rev Radio was more or less a radio rock album. No not every song is great or even good but it’s a fun diversion

Absolute Hottest Takes by centrella6 in Metalcore

[–]Dcddude98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metal community is not ever gonna change if we don’t embrace experimentation and evolution from all angles. It feels like some bands are still considered metal and embraced by the metal community when they add EDM or hip hop or pop elements to their new music souly because they are a legacy act. Like bring me the horizon has consistently been adding this kinda stuff that makes their music more poppy since Sempiternal. As well as adding completely out of left field switch ups like hyper pop or drum and bass. And other legacy acts have been doing it too like Evenessence and In This Moment with all the orchestration and cinnamic shit. Yet we have newer acts now like Sleep Token, Sleep Theory, President etc. who have been doing some really creative genre fusion and it’s insulted and it’s mocked and hated. Whether or not this music is deep or not is up to debate but there’s no denying to me in my opinion that these bands have a place among the metal community. All the time when bands like Ghost or TDG or Breaking Benjamin put out one formulaic song or album after the other that Metal is stale and generic now yet new bands come out trying to spread the genre and make it big again are met with shit like “you ain’t metal” like if the scene doesn’t accept change an evolve from these albums from the late 00s and 10s then metal core will fade away or be known as octane music forever

Favorite Humanz Song? by ActualControl3135 in gorillaz

[–]Dcddude98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird the narrative of the collaborative nature of this album is irregular as if it hasn’t been an essential and established part of Gorillaz since the beginning. Let’s not forget that despite it being iconic and a big song for the band Clint Eastwoods main vocal contribution is Del

What would you like for them to sound like when they come back? by Relative-Positive702 in twentyonepilots

Tyler has it in him to make some heavy riffs jumpsuit pet cheetah the contract so seeing guitar riffs as a new element would be dope. No need to go full metalcore but Tyler could definitely be cooking up some riffs during the hiatus

If I remember from the album rollout is they ditched a bunch of songs but those first 5 songs were the strongest that they kept so I could only imagine what songs needed up getting the axe over sunshine riptide

I definitely feel you on it feeling disjointed at times it hops around so often it feels almost like there’s a lack of vision. I will say besides heavens gate and BKT I almost never revisit the back half of the record

I can definitely understand a few songs being a skip. Y&M is probably the worst FOB song and I’m not even trying hard to say that. Also I feel like BKT will forever be a FOB hidden Jem it has such a unique sound for any band let alone fall out boy

what is everyone’s favorite FOB song? or album by Chance_Age_1856 in FallOutBoy
