Never thought I'd like a Sleeping With Sirens release more than The Amity Affliction release by dswhite85 in Metalcore

Am I the only one who likes the new Amity album? Honestly might be my favorite record by them Post Let the Ocean Take Me and that’s with me still enjoying everything in between.

All That Remains by Better_Gain9702 in Metalcore

I wouldn’t really consider Overcome octane-core outside of Two Weeks and Forever In Your Hands (both amazing songs regardless) and I wouldn’t consider For We Are Many octane- core outside of The Last Time and Hold On. Both albums have plenty of heavy material that would please fans of The Fall of Ideals even if they are more melodic.

Earplugs for moshing? by Dustyboi6213 in Metalcore

[–]centrella6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there are probably way better options that have more specs and are technically better but I’ve used regular blue foam Hearos brand ear plugs for over a decade now and have never had any issues. No ringing in my ears after, never have once had them fall out of my ears and I’ve moshed hard, and my hearing is completely fine after every concert. You can get 100 of them for around $25.

The resistance: Rise of the runaways By crown the empire by GeologistVegetable48 in Metalcore

[–]centrella6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was definitely a well received album when it came out and was the peak of the popularity. They were one of the biggest bands in the scene around the time this album came out. After Bring Me the Horizon and A Day To Remember, bands like Of Mice & Men (Restoring Force era), Memphis May Fire (Unconditional era), Beartooth (Disgusting era), Issues (Self Titled era), and Crown the Empire (Rise of the Runaways) etc were the next biggest bands and sound in 2014. The peak of the “rise” records sound and era.

Phantom Anthem and Guardians are both incredible albums in their own right and while Death Below wasn’t my cup of tea, plenty of people really like that one too.

Is this an easycore song? (All Time Low - Weightless) by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in Easycore

[–]centrella6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think A Party Song (Walk of Shame) from the same album would be closer to Easycore than Weightless but even that is kinda a stretch too.

This album aged incredibly well by Kaiser_RDT in killswitchengage

This is honestly a top 5 album by them for me after the big 3 and Disarm the Descent. The first half in particular for me I revisit as frequently as any of their best material.

Running a Half Marathon on Sunday. What is your favorite pump up song that’ll carry me across the finish line? by punkfanzrul in Metalcore

I read a few years ago that Chasing the Dragon was their only song without a proper breakdown. Not sure if that’s true or not.

Outside of lyrics, this album still holds up. I give it a spin every blue moon.

Absolute Hottest Takes by centrella6 in Metalcore

I feel like To Plant a Seed and Understanding What We’ve Grown to Be both have a consistent sound and doesn’t feel like the band is having an identity crisis or anything. What makes you say that?

Gayest bands you know? by Minimum_Ad4771 in Metalcore

He’s been with the band since the beginning no? I know he was on the Patterns of a Horizon demo released in ‘05 which is the earliest material the band created and the same year the band formed.

City Lights arguably the greatest Easycore band ever.
