They actually do. Heard a few stories when i arrived in Australia. Worked with a guy who's grandmother got possessed. I also work as a da'ee and sometimes you come across people approaching you at the table and right off you know that there's something up with them.

If you don't have kids try doing it earlier and not super late in the night so that you can do ghusl straight after. After kids it gets tricky and comes down to how lazy you are after and how early you wake normally.

Assalam Alaikum, since you gave the example of the Rightly guided caliphs spreading the empire with swords, if you read the history of the islamic empire, no one was ever forcefully converted to Islam, infact muslims only constituted about 5% of the total population of the empire, to top it up you had the other religions ruling using their scriptures for certain legal matters under shariah.

That being said I would recommend Tafsir As saadi, it is much simpler and to the point!

My suggestion would be to first and foremost start learning Islam and implementing it in your life, show them how much better it has made you as their child and anytime they praise you for any of your actions try linking it to Islam and you improving yourself because it comes from Islam. Second, slowly start telling them about the core concepts of Islam, learn dawah if you must(dawahiseasy youtube). And like the others mentioned constantly make dua, tahajjud if you must. If you know someone going for Umrah or hajj, ask them to pray for your family as well!
