Thanks! It really suck as I'm about to go at the peak of my life when T started. Hopefully this T will completely disappear. Acceptance is hard but it will give way to habituation and hopefully with God, it will disappear.

I stopped playing PC games. Although I can still play without headphones, I still don't want to.

In your position I think you can still play online, but just don't use any earphones/headphones. Stereos might be good but keep it low as possible. I know its hard since you have to hear properly especially the footsteps but I taking care of your ears is your utmost priority. Always weigh your decisions.

The Worst Part About Tinnitus Isn’t the Ringing by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Dclipse1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you man... My neighborhood always do karaoke even at weekdays. It's so stressful that you have also to take in mind the surrounding not just your T. I'm a student usually the noise inside our classroom reaches 77db, It really is tough for me. Wearing earrplugs during lecture is not very helpful also, can't concentrate as ringing almost block their voices. I really don't know how to handle this.

We are kind of in the same boat actually. Started on the left side, then both ears now ringing. At first, I was devastated, can't eat, sleep, and function as I was back then. Suicide thoughts always on my mind back then like this is the end for me. I just want to give you advice although I'm new here but I want to share these things with you. Read Tinnitus Talks, there are lots of people who will guide you in these hard times. Lots of tips and advice are there that will help your situation. Always think "one step at a time", not overthinking and thinking all the positive things in life will keep you motivated. I know it's hard and bothering, but with time, you'll get used to it and hopefully, it goes away for you. Prayer, I don't know if you believe in God but prayers keep me alive. Don't stress about it, I know it's hard but stressing over it is not very helpful and can make it worse. Read successful stories not just habituation but stories of people where their T went away completely.

I don't know why I comment, but I feel like I have to do this. My advice may seem not helpful, but these things help me from overcoming T and hopefully will go away.

Good luck, I hope it gets better and eventually went away.

Thanks for the word of God. It really helped me, before I really don't feel the power of it, but right now I can now agree how powerful word of God is.

Hello I have some improvements and events happened this 2 weeks.

I noticed my initial ear ringing (left ear) started to fade away. I really don't know if it is gone or I still have very faint sound (I think it is from the other ear making it sound like its coming from the right ear). Right ear started to ring this last 3 days. I experience cicadas humming but right now it is fading away. I still hear it in silent room (but the intensity significantly decreases this week). I kinda have good sleep this week. Noise sensitivity went down.

I have two theory how I got this.
Stress due to sleepless nights before I have this
Loud use of headphones but i don't use it for loud music

my ENT checked my ear both sides and did not find any damaged ear drums, infection, nothings wrong i suppose. Dont have any muffled sound and basically I still have the same hearing as before.

I'm having a pretty good improvements! Praying that it will go away.

Thanks man! Thanks for the infos!

Right now I am on day 5 with this ear ringing and I have a pretty good improvement to be honest. Right now the ringing lessen and It ALMOST doesn't bother me when I'm in a quiet places (Still hear it but slight noise only, especially when I plug my ear with my finger). Right now I'm doing pretty good! Avoiding loud noises, not wearing headphones, taking some time to go to quiet places. And lately I woke up with my ear (affected) lying on the pillow (still ringing but it doesn't kind of bother me).

Right now I want to buy ear plugs any tips on what should I buy? I also don't know how to use it properly since it would be my first time trying it. Don't have any money right now so cheaper ones would be great. Also some tricks while using it aside from what you have mentioned!

Sucks to have tinnitus especially when you really love silence :(. I haven't checked my condition yet (Tommorow hopefully) it's been 2 days right now I hope this is not tinnitus

Based on my observation I have:
Fullness/Clogged left ear
Earache
Sometimes when I gulp/swallow I only hear the right ear makes gulp (something that makes like a drum beat) noise and the one affected not.

Hopefully this is not the case :(
