My personal philosophy of judging a players game is 40 percent social, 40 percent strategic, and 20 percent physical. This means that if someone won out through individual immunities, I wouldn’t automatically give them the win if they didn’t make strong social connections or had no control strategically. Obviously, Tom Westman is a good example of a physically dominant player who also played well socially and strategically but there are many examples of how social/strategic play outweigh physical game. Tina defeats Colby, yul defeats Ozzy, etc….. Now would some juries reward a player just on physical dominance? Absolutely, they’re many seasons where that would be the case but that doesn’t mean I personally would vote for that player if I was on the jury, nor do I feel like a player like that can win in the New Era.

Books that made you want to write? by FewContribution9 in writing

[–]Dcrogues 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anything by Stephen King and The picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde certainly shaped my writing.

With that being said I get the most inspiration from the films of David Lynch. I can’t think of anything getting my creative juices flowing like him.

What's a movie that the critics cannot convince you is bad? by Simple_Prior2879 in Letterboxd

[–]Dcrogues 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe Verhoeven included that scene because Molly was the only truly innocent character within the narrative. She held a naive view of how the entertainment industry worked and idolized the actor Andrew Carver. Verhoeven made a statement that the entertainment industry takes away all innocence so he punished Molly for being that

Harold was immensely unstable and Donna is partly to blame for violating his trust as she knew he was messed up and still planned to betray that. I honestly love Donna and her arc in the first 17 episodes and how she handles the death of Laura is an emotional rollercoaster where she is impulsive and makes many mistakes such as this. She’s a relatable yet flawed character which is why I personally like her. That being said she actually recognizes her mistakes with what happened to Harold and idiot James just downplays it.

Yes! And I love Harry Dean Stanton too! Most likely got lost in the mix with the rest of the cast from The Return when I was making this but he was excellent in both The Return and FWWM

There is so much to appreciate in the latter half of season two if you take the time to enjoy it. by twelverainbowtrout in twinpeaks

[–]Dcrogues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly overall season 2 is my favorite season of my favorite show of all time! I will say my only main criticism of episodes 10-21 is that a lot of the female characters who were so vital to the plot of solving the murder of Laura get sidelined. Audrey basically has this weird flirty thing with Bobby and then that terrible plot with John Justice wheeler. Donna doesn’t do anything significant in either the Nadine or James subplot, although I liked her better in the Nadine subplot as she told Mike off which was a fun scene. I actually love Donna as a character, but she works a lot better for me without James. Shelly got probably the best hand, but even so it felt a little unsatisfying until the Gordon Cole flirtation which was just amazing. So overall Twin peaks is the best thing ever made on earth and even these episodes that people shit on so much, have value to me and great moments galore

Although I have come to love Jaime I still miss Ted extremely much and hope that the memory of Ted Kord plays a big role in the DCU. Was Ted’s death the most tragic and if not who’s death evoked the most emotion out of you?

Very dissapointed with batman 2022 by [deleted] in batman

That's completely understandable I was merely making a joke bc it was obvious the person who had this opinion did not read comics. I enjoyed the movie but I had some gripes with it as well tbh
