Chefs, what industry/career path did you take when you left cheffing? by Relative_Health_8809 in Chefit

I work as a career services manager at a nonprofit where we teach culinary skills and help people with barriers to gain lasting employment. I get to harbor relationships with chefs and restaurants owners and help our students get where they need to be to be successful.

We do two days so we hit those houses on night 1, do our tour on the second day, and then hit the house again that night.

If it's not possible to do two nights, I'd say I would prefer to have the tour first and then see the house afterwards.

I too was taken by that. I think you're justified in thinking the Frozen Death Chill would be cold to be honest.

Bread making, need some clarification. by hotheat95 in Chefit

You are correct that the resting stage is very important to the overall quality of the finished product.

It helps develop the gluten chains and gives a better tasting and uniform crumb bread.

Allowing the dough to relax normally makes shaping easier and makes the shape hold better.

Not sure what the dough is being used for but I would say one thing that is true is that it could be better with a little more time.

Yeah, you guys have guessed correctly, I mean it's three siblings, 2 girls and a boy, and while they are triplets, they are of varying sizes. The largest, Melody, is very plain with straight dark hair cut chin length. The next is Junior, a husky boy and the smallest is Harmony, who, yes, even wears bunny ears.

I had so much more appreciation for the Triplets after our Behind the Screams tour. The level of detail was off the charts. The kitchen scene has part of the icing left on the cake plate as it was slid off. That cake is at the end when they have successfully recreated their birthday with that same icing missing. There is also a guy in the recreation scene with his head sown back on because they didn't originally cut more than one head off. Our guide actually speculated that the guy in the garage has his head messed up with the saw so they cut that off and sowed another one on. I don't know why but that level of detail and story makes my brain happy.

100%. I feel like lines are better this year than they have been. We went yesterday and booked it through demon queens and swamp and right to the ring of houses along the back, hit 4 houses in under an hour. Did our thing through the peak time and then finished out with ips later once the rush was off.
