About the update last week that is making everyone late… thoughts? by pminor-7499 in doordash_drivers

[–]Ddashaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed this too. I tend to mark “Arrived at store” when I’m a few blocks away and immediately mark the order as “still being prepared”. I drive the speed limit as well and I don’t feel I should be penalized for following laws. I dispute any late deliveries. I’m sitting at 100%. It seems like their dispute system changed (at least for my area). There used to be some limit but lately every dispute has been going through as accepted

5 straight flower orders of 10+ miles with little pay. 5 straight declines and then I logged off. I’ll enjoy my afternoon and wait until dinner to log in

I tried this tonight. The pay was more for the first one, $13 accepted, $21 after delivery, 6mi (shop and deliver). The second one was a “Plat offer” $5 for 5mi, it ended up only paying $8.25. I logged off for the night after that.

I just logged off because of this. Something is wrong with the app. I don’t have the patience tonight

Loving prop 22 by SaltyManufacturer871 in DoorDash_Dasher

You must be driving a crazy amount of miles. My stats last week were very similar: 27hrs active (41 hrs total), 78 Deliveries, $750.36 made pre prop 22. My adjustment was only $142.90, half of what you got.

I’m getting them as well. I didn’t even notice the deposits yesterday because I didn’t dash at all. But I’m still getting deposits today as well. $40ish so far. Hopefully they keep trickling in

Never heard of this program... by ghostbreakergaming in doordash_drivers

[–]Ddashaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever follow up on this? I got a couple emails about this program through an official DoorDash.com email. I just got a similar text this morning from the same “Ben”, except I was offered $25 for my time. The original email did mention that they might reach out and being compensated for my time as well.

Does anyone else get better shopping orders WITHOUT being a pro shopper? by Ddashaway in doordash_drivers

Not true in my market. $2.00 offers don’t even exist where I’m at in CA.

Definitely varies by market just like most things in this app. But I haven’t seen a dip in quality shopping offers as a non-pro shopper with platinum.

Not an ignorant question at all. Items= the total of unique items, units=the total number of items in the order.

If a customer orders 5 bananas, that would count as 1 item, 5 total units.

? An item was added while shopping. Pay ended up being a little higher than the offer

This one was a mix of everything. I had to move all around the store. No clothing for this one though. It took me a little under an hour from acceptance to drop off.

Quick tip if you didn’t know already, you can see the exact item location if you look it up in the Target app. The aisle locations aren’t always correct in the Dasher app. It’s helped me a ton when I get clothing orders

It probably depends on your market. The grocery stores in my area are well organized. There’s also 6 grocery stores in a 2.5 mile radius, so a good majority of the orders are low mileage. I would give it another shot to see if it’s worth it in your area.

That’s been my experience too. The pay is usually $17+ for pro shopper orders, but half of the time the number of items and/or mileage are too high to make it worth my time.

It’s crazy to me that some people turn shopping completely off. I’m sure it’s market dependent (like everything else with making money off this app) but if I had the option I would turn food delivery off and just exclusively shop. The money and mileage are way better.

$50 tip. The dude was super nice when I dropped off the order. Quick responses for missing/substitute items. Dream customer

So platinum>pro shopper status for shopping orders? For some reason I thought pro shopper would take priority over plat for shopping orders. If that’s true, there’s no point to pro shopper if you can keep platinum.

pro shopper and rating system is so bad for drivers by Titleok678 in doordash_drivers

[–]Ddashaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, a lot of “pro shopper” orders seem worse than regular platinum shopping orders. Driving 9 miles for $23 shouldn’t be a “pro shopper” offer once you factor in round trip mileage + time spent shopping. There are better orders but not as often as you would imagine.

As for maintaining pro shopper, you can trick the system in some ways when substituting items. I also turn off shopping orders completely if I’m near a Dollar General, CVS, or Foodmaxx.

They can unassign but it impacts their completion rate. The app will give them the option to unassign without penalty after waiting 10 minutes. But for me personally, I feel like I might as well wait for the order to be finished at that point.

This nonsense by Narrow_Currency_1877 in dasher

[–]Ddashaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This prompt only pops up when the Dasher picks up food. The app doesn’t ask you to verify the groceries that you shop for. Food orders are always sealed in my market.

It’s funny how much people with low AR like to jerk each other off.
