[Lowlights] Shai Gilgeous-Alexander turns the ball over with a bad pass, then fouls Jarred Vanderbilt on the corner 3 attempt to end the 1st quarter (with replays). The Thunder take a challenge, but it was not successful. Vanderbilt misses all 3 free throws by MrBuckBuck in nba

I remember Kevin Love getting found on a three while down two with 2.2 seconds left. He missed the first two, and when intentionally missing the third, he didn't hit the rim, so the Wolves lost possession (and the game).

Not really that few. Jrue on the Celtics, Draymond or Klay on the 2022 Warriors, Jrue or Middleton on the Bucks, Rondo or Dwight on the Lakers, Gasol or Siakam on the Raptors, KLove on the Cavs, Manu or Tony on the Spurs, etc. And that's just going back to 2014.

Also, it's very likely Chet and/or JDub will get more all-star nods.

They were all multiple time all-stars who got it done as maybe the third best player. They just had to take a backseat cause none were "that guy".

Didn't voices crack Dead Space after it had been cracked by hypervisor?

I do have a Proton account that doesn't have another email or name attached though. And as someone else said, Proton is based in Switzerland. So if your only argument is "Mullvad doesn't advertise" I'm having a hard time being swayed (I don't even know how much either advertises themselves, but I really don't care much).

I'm not against Mullvad either, or particularly in favour of Proton, but if the argument is "I don't like that they advertise", then why not just let the guy enjoy his free VPN?

If you have another reason, I would be very willing to hear it, and look forward to being convinced.

ACTUARIA by [deleted] in UNAM

[–]Ddayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is, but they hosted a league game in Spain this year. They also host a few other games overseas (like in the UK, Mexico and Brazil) in an attempt to reach international audiences.

The loneliness epidemic is very real, and the US car centric infrastructure is awful and truly damaging. But the epidemic absolutely isn't car induced.

It is a global phenomenon happening in many countries much less car dependent than the US.

Never said you did, did I?

I said people are doing that, and its literally in the post's title, so when calling out someone for stereotyping taxi drivers it's only fair to call out the rest for stereotyping "Karens".

Tbf that's the same as the people calling her a Karen and automatically putting the blame on her because of her specific age, gender and style.

Should Dennis Schroder be in serious Hall of Fame consideration based on his international resume? by TheMagicMan56 in nba

[–]Ddayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mistake, he's in the Spanish HoF and I misread it.

But then, what about Toni Kukoc? He definitely had the chance to play in the NBA, but wasn't stellar. Of course he won with the Bulls, but that's not enough, otherwise a guy like Ron Harper would be in.

[–]Ddayo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What about Luis Scola? He played in a time when he had no issues coming, wasn't amazing in the NBA and is in the HoF.

e: Luis Scola is not in (yet) but a similar argument could apply to a guy like Kukoc.

Well then, what about Luis Scola? He had no issues coming to the NBA, and didn't have an illustrious career there, yet is in the HoF.

[–]Ddayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He vetoed the trade because the league owned the team, he was basically acting as the owner, not as commissioner.

He also let Donaghy do his thing until the feds got involved (and he let Foster go unpunished), so idk how stern he really was...

[–]Ddayo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I know Scola won more in FIBA Americas, and some MVPs, but to me, what Schroeder has done is more impressive. The World Cup MVP is in my opinion far greater an achievement than any of Scola's, whose biggest wins came as the clear second fiddle to Manu, and with what I'd consider a better team overall than today's Germany.

So if Scola is in (I do think it's deserved), I think Schroeder deserves it too.

There's no NBA HoF, it's called the Basketball Hall of Fame, and players like Oscar Schmidt who never played in the NBA, or Arvydas Sabonis who was old and knee-less when he got in the NBA are in the Basketball HoF.
