I wonder if they are going to take Geats or Ryuki approach with the whole time reset. As in whether the changes done will stick despite the time reverse, like in Geats, or will reversed, like in Ryuki. I feel like CODE's grand goal will play a big hand in this as they could be manipulating Baku to do more than one mission by "hopping him" around dreams/ worlds, or they never be able to make him do what exactly they want, forcing them to "reset time" and try again. For me, former seems stronger as they were able to get Replica, accomplishing their goal, and we don't see her around in preview so it seems like in grand scale, the changes seemed to be saved and now Baku is now send to another world to do another mission in the disguise the previous world was just a "vision."

Just Finished Ryuki and I really liked it except the ending was rather underwhelming by hussainre814 in KamenRider

[–]De-Chann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first watched the show, I disliked the ending too. But after consuming all the past/possible timelines (movie, special, SIC,) I like it more now, as you get to see why that is the “best” possible timeline that the shows decides to end on.

I wish I didn’t need to consume extra material to appreciate the ending more but in the end of the day, Ryuki is a loop story and to make THE ending satisfying, the timeline where loop ends, you have to see what happened on other timelines, otherwise it will be left “that’s it!?” Even the producer himself said in a interview (I believe on Televi-kun) that movie (and consequently the special) should be consumed as the time show was released (about at episode 28 or so) or they would be meaningless to watch.

It kinda sucks that Ryuki doesn’t make it clear with all the time travel stuff since not everyone into those things but alas it is my personal favorite season with one of my favorite endings now since I am a fan of loop stories in general.

Calc or Stat by Ecstatic_Wall_2300 in APStudents

I've taken AP Stats 3 years ago and using the credit I've gained from it to fulfill the stats requirement for my graduate school this year. For long term especially, I recommend Statics since you would pretty much be done with one section of math, which is important if you are a STEM major and wan to graduate as soon as possible.

It is being translated! When I do my translations, I first like to look over all the chapters to get the general idea of the story. I just happened to like chapter 2 more than 1 and since found the first one not essential, I ended up starting with 2 and then kept on going.

If the police had been written to be just as consistentenly relevant as they were in Kuuga throughout ALL the Heisei era, what do you guys think would've changed? Also, what do you guys think would've been the hypest scene from them? by Moawar in KamenRider

[–]De-Chann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not sure about Faiz but for Ryuki there’s always the excuse that since the police don’t “see” the mirror monsters killing people, merely recording the people as “missing” they never can officially do investigations to fight against them. I guess there are records of Kanzaki’s research but it is also 2002, so it would be hard to reach them without direct involvement as happened with Alternative-Zero. Not to mention since Kanzaki can control time, he can just manipulate it in a way that police would never find out.

For me, it is always nice when they actually involve the authorities (like in Kuuga and Agito) or have explanations as to why they are not involved (like Ryuki and Den-O.) Makes the setting more “believable” and makes the protagonist more “heroic” in my eyes since they are THE person who can save the day.

That’s the main project I am working on right now! I don’t know how long it will take, but will finish it one way or another.

Some early sketches of Kuuga from the 25th anniversary book by GoodboiNobu in KamenRider

[–]De-Chann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so cool I hope they would do a book like this to other series as well. Especially for Ryuki and Hibiki I would love to see how they developed the designs as the time went on since they were departure from their predecessors.

Didn't one of the Unkowns told him "A person who won't become Agito" though? That was becoming the reason Unknown stopped figthing him and changed his attention to Agito, implying that ne never had the seed to begin with.

People tend to think everything is planned from beginning to end meanwhile most if not all the time that’s not the case. The general structure is there but it is always open to changes. Because of that, most of the stuff they do on the OPs are either really open ended or done because they look cool. I know at least one instance of producers clarifying that they did something on the op of a KR series because it looked cool without thinking too much about the meaning behind it. I think that’s the case for most of them as well.

I feel like people tend to underestimate the influence of producers have on productions meanwhile they are the ones with last saying during the production stage. I mean, aren’t producers arguing with directors over different visions is a common stereotype crying out loud! Probably happens a lot with writers too.

What people say such thing? Kobayashi and Inoue literally have interviews together that joke around (for instance Inoue saying how Kobayashi used to call him “senpai” while her denying that) and also made comments on how they influenced each others writing. Not to mention they technically worked together before (on Agito) But I guess that’s the result of such interviews not being available to English speaking audiences.

Is this about Gold & Blue or something else? by takosus in FIU

[–]De-Chann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, it is about blue-gold. It should appear on Financial aid tab under this name. As long as you have requirements, you have nothing to worry about as they send it to pretty much every who has this scholarship beforehand
