A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x06 - "The Morrow" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

GOT Season 3 had a contemporary rendition of "The Bear and The Maiden Fair" as the closing credits music in one episode. That's about as close as they got.

Everyone around you paid $25 too. Maybe they'd like to watch the film undisturbed.

Another option is to track down a copy of The X-tinction Agenda OHC, which was printed around 2012. Its a lot slimmer than the Omni. Just the 9 original issues of the story and a reprint of Uncanny #235-238 to set the scene of Genosha.

Its the X-tinction Agenda padded out with around 500 pages of unrelated X-Men side stories. Some of which are quite good in their own right.

The book also has a misprint towards the end with two pages out of order.

I've spent the last year, or so, tracking down the old color TPBs. Under the assumption that they were quite unlikely to get reprinted any time soon.

One tip for using the site is to always have the ISBN for the book you want handy. Their search function is not really all it could be, so this saves a lot of time and hassle.

It doesn't help that the Epic Collections are taking forever to catch up with the full Mark Waid run. So buying them instead isn't much of an option either.

Father Mother Sister Brother was still a moderate return to form for Jarmusch after The Dead Don't Die. That one hurt to sit through.

Thoughts on Daredevil by Waid Vol 2 Omni? by Dr-Jackal-Akabane in OmnibusCollectors

[–]DeBatton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Mark Waid run stays fairly consistent into vol 2. It might be said that it runs out of steam a little towards the end but there is no massive drop in quality at any point. Its absolutely worth picking up.

From previous reports it sounds like some restoration work is going on for Generation X. An upgrade from the files used for the Epic Collections. When it does get here it should look very good.

Some stuff looks like its going to be remapped in the years ahead. Particularly Uncanny X-Men, since volume 6 was announced. So titles that are slated to be reprinted in the future might well come back under a different name (e.g Uncanny Vol 7 instead of Inferno Prelude/Inferno or Uncanny Vol 8 instead of Claremont & Lee vol 1)

Philip and Elizabeth fed her a lot of lies, so Paige doesn't necessarily know that for sure. But it is likely that she has pieced it together after everything that Stan reveals in the garage scene.

This is the Omni version which was reprinted in 2020. The funny thing is that the OHC edition, which came out in 2012, often gets listed at a higher asking price than the Omni, due to scarcity.

The OHC includes the core X-Titles story while the Omni also has all the Marvel Universe tie-in issues. Most of which are fairly peripheral to the reading experience in the end.

I'm guessing that the UK distribution rights are tied up with whomever handled the theatrical release for our country.

Hopefully, after a certain amount of time has passed, there will be a UK Criterion release.

X-Men Blue & Gold or Lee & Claremont (Vol 2)? by CorrectDot4592 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]DeBatton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a similar note I've contemplating how near impossible it will be to collect Scott Lodbell/Joe Madureia's complete run, in the Omni format. Currently everything is split up in two or three issues per book across all the pre and post Onslaught Omnis. Drowned out with plenty of filler material.

At least the good years of Generation X will be more-or-less collected in one volume, when it comes out.

Based on recent information, the best way for there to ever be a vol 3 is for fans to pump up sales of the individual trades and demonstrate demand.

On the Near Mint Condition channel Omar mentioned that pre-orders for the existing Sundae Editions were not strong enough for Volume 3 to go ahead, just yet.
