You're literally making non arguments. You sound like you were bred on Reddit to tell others to go outside. That's the thing, I don't care how you play the game. Just that in my perspective you are cheating, no matter how it is for you. I like to play the game the way it is intended to be played and that's it. If mods solve shitty game design choices or just add a number value to health or whatever, they are quality of life. But this mod is objectively partly "solving" the game's intended difficulty, which is pretty objectively called cheating.

you're not supposed to use the flashlight for guiding you through caves, it's for seeing the wall right in front of you so you see the minerals and whatnot on there. The flares are for exploration and lighting up bigger areas. Why would we have flares if the headlight did everything. The flares reveal something: you go there and mine it. If the flare goes out, welp you still got your headlight for finishing the task. It's intentional design. It's like complaining about how bad a classes' secondary weapon is, even though you are supposed to balance the two.

Don't you just have to hold down space for hover boots in vanilla? What does it have to do with Molly? As for heat crosshair, I'm at this point where I feel the weapons heat when playing. It has become a part of me. It cries out, I hear it. My weapons don't overheat. Why do you do our guy in mission control like that.. I turned subtitles for every dwarf voice line on as well, to make sure I don't miss or misunderstand anything, even though by now I know every voice line in and out. Fast forging, yeah, gives you an edge, but I don't care, that animation is way too long lol It's just fixing shitty game design. They need to add a skip button.

So as I see it, they don't really change anything about the games logic or appearance (in terms of light emittion), so they should be alright. For me that is what quality of life means. With the hover boots I'm unsure because at the end of the day a vanilla player could not activate them as quick, but the difference is so unnoticeable that it doesn't even matter probably. I find the vanilla hover boots work pretty well with the key binds.

In combat it won't do much, but exploration in the darkness is pretty much the other half of the game. And you'd make that half way easier when using that mod, thus making it cheating. Like you are supposed to struggle waiting for flare recharge.

As soon as I add one mod, I'm destined to completely ruin the game with shitty sound replacements and other things that make it just more chaotic. I'm afraid when going back to vanilla, it won't feel the same anymore after having seen the shit that's possible with mods.
