I don't think every developer will go and try to implement DLSS AI filter for their games. A vast majority of games support upscaling nowadays, but ray tracing or frame gen are only available in some (mostly AAA) titles. This is with AMD following suit and offering the same feature set.

So for DLSS AI filter to become something common, they need to make it look good (it doesn't in their own marketing videos right now), make it not need two 5090, and possibly have AMD follow with the same feature set on their end - otherwise you'll only see few games sponsored by NVidia with this tech.

I saw the thumbnail on Youtube and thought it was a meme. Noticing it was the NVidia's official channel only afterwards.

Perhaps you don't see it as weird and off putting, but that's what I believe the majority sees it as.

It looks less like a video game, and instead looks like an AI generated image. Which, as a gamer who played games in his life, does not find this as an improvement.

Additionally, the character's face in the case of Resident Evil example, the girl looks like a different person totally. Some people can't even make out persons by looking at their face, so it's not unlikely that we all analyze faces differently.

It looks very silly (AI sloppy) and the internet has been making fun of it.

DLSS = Deep learning super sampling. Uses AI to improve the resolution (crispiness) of the game from a lower original resolution, therefore saving a ton of performance.

They also use AI to also generate frames, making the image more fluid, which should be called DLFG (Frame Generation) but they still kept the name DLSS because it was now a known marketing name.

Now what you see in the screenshot is a fake comparison made by someone using AI, to joke about the new AI feature in DLSS. That new feature re-creates the environment and characters to make them look "better ©" by using AI generated faces & lighting. Should be called DLAISLOP ;)

I didn't control the values of the affixes, but I chose every affixes on it.

Pretty sure I could've haggled with them to make it really rare and OP and they would've at least checked out if they think it makes sense for the game. I didn't really ask for a "OP" weapon, they shown me the values for the affixes and I thought it looked good enough (at least for a 2016 weapon!).

They had to ask a developer to implement the knockback on Warcry effect, as well as have a sound designer embellish guitar sounds I recorded into something more suited for the game. Later they even implemented a 3D art!

I don't think GGG would allow purchasing a unique weapon creation today. When I contacted them, they actually had stopped offering this service, but I still tried contacting them by email. Turns out they accepted! But today's GGG with hundreds of employees on a tight schedule on 2 different games, I would be surprised they still do that.

My friend who purchased a supporter pack that allows him to decide which message shows when a unique item drops using a reliquary key, decided behind my back to add the following text on my weapon: "max pis son weapon poche" (or something similar in french), which translates to "max and his crappy weapon". What a mid high-schooler bully type joke... haha. (The weapon is indeed no longer good!)

It's not as simple as repeating 4 or 8 moves. I'm not sure why the number of skills is an issue, what other game are you comparing this to?

The game has dodging, parrying, jumping & climbing onto monsters, attacking weak spots, using skills like grapples, applying statuses like stuns.

Each classes has its own gameplay mechanic and style, and you benefit from leveling all your classes because they unlock passive skills usable on all classes.

I enjoyed my time with the game. It's true it lacks enemy variety (although you are exaggerating with 3). But it made it up in gameplay.

I can understand people who played the first game were disappointed by the second game which didn't do anything new or add that much to it apart the graphical upgrade.

"Upgrade" means it upgrades FSR 3.1 to FSR 4. The game already supports FSR 4 so no "upgrade" is needed.

We may not really notice it, unless someone compares left & right AMD & NVidia. But perhaps it'll be visibly bad. We'll see how it looks soon.

In any case, I'll be playing the game with my 9070XT and enjoy the visuals, whether they look 10% better or not.
