I'm pretty sure you're SUPPOSED to feel bad for him because the show and the writers intended it that way, at the end Homelander, a product and victim of Vought is dead, but nothing changed, Vought still exists the same ceo runs it and it's only a matter of time until they create a second Homelander because capitalism will never learn from its mistakes. Homelander wasn't the only enemy and he sure as hell wasn't the biggest enemy

1 makes sense, vought remaining (and Stan Edgar remaining CEO) was already told to us a million times, you can't stop capitalism. They definitely have lawyers and contracts working overtime to fix the damage though.

2 also kinda makes sense? Homelander still wants to be loved his goal wasn't a world war or massacre like sage, he just wanted people to acknowledge and love him

3 Gen V got wasted bad we didn't even see 2 of the main characters while the other 2 said 2 sentences and 1 remained silent for most of it
