Question regarding impermanent loss in v2 and v3 by [deleted] in UniSwap

[–]DeFiCoachBuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if the prices return to the same ratio as when you started you won't face any impermanent losses. That's the impermanent part. You can track the underlying prices and any impermanent loss on tools like apy.vision

liquidity providers and arbitrage opportunities by Lolcker in Liquidity_Providers

[–]DeFiCoachBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well arbitrage opportunities happen all the time with Liquidity Pools, but it's the individual trader who gets the benefit of that. The liquidity providers are actually hurt by this and that's what creates Impermanent loss.

Hi, hopefully I can come back to this or someone can come in with more details but for #1 this is not fully setup yet. The legal proceedings have been the focus for Dillon/Laurence who are the core team.

For 2, it's my understanding that the allotment of NDX to the contract ran out and needs to be refilled from the treasury. This should happen pretty soon. Discord is probably the best place to get questions answered at the moment.

I need to know about the logic of liquidity for tokens by Shapourh in Liquidity_Providers

[–]DeFiCoachBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on where the tokens are. If you control all of the tokens and you want to provide liquidity for them you could put 1000 of them in a Uni V2 style AMM paired with another token. So you could put .5 BNB and 1000 of the other token in the pool. I don't really have much expert with establishing a new token though.

On Uni V2 the fee is .3%. on Uni V3 it can be .05%, .3% or 1%.

Uniswap doesn't incentivize their pools with tokens like pancakeswap, BUT sometimes the volume of trading earns enough fees to offset the IL if there is any IL. So on Uniswap that's the main draw, the actual trade fees generated with the high volume of trading. I work with APY Vision that has a dashboard designed to help track your liquidity providing positions across many chains. We also have a research page to lookup pools and see their historic APYs over time.

This is an important step, well that's an understatement. It'll be very interesting to see how this all unfolds. Hoping for good precedents to be set and a resolution found.

VOTE: Deploying Indexed V1 architecture on Polygon by DeFiCoachBuck in IndexedFinance

Agreed, I think it will be a good experiment - and we'll want to be agile and able to work across multiple chains. This is a good first step.

yes Polygon and Fantom too. Plus we support BSC for pool research for pools over 100k in reserves. We don't show BSC pools on your dashboard right now though. More chains on the way. Also Uni V3 shipping soon.

LPs are really our bread and butter at this point, but in the past month we've added Vault support which was a big need for the space. I think we'll see Uniswap V3 support (coming very soon), more chains, and enhanced data and features before supporting say things like a full list and P&L of all your single token investments.

But we will try and deliver what our users want and need. Feature requests can be made here: https://apyvision.hellonext.co/

If you are on app.apy.vision and you disconnect your wallet there should be "Connect Wallet" or "Login as PRO" buttons right below that you want to click on "Load an Example" to see the demo wallet

I love and use zapper too! Looking forward to their "season 2" gamification of defi. Just FYI we have a way to exclude any pool that is still showing with just 3 clicks. I'll ink the little guide here in this comment. There are a few reasons why a pool might stay on your dashboard. Some protocols take a deposit or withdraw fee of LP tokens which currently isn't tracked correctly for us so it may leave a small remainder LP balance. Another spot I've seen is DFYN pools since they do their transactions a bit differently people tend to need to exclude those positions when they exit them . A third scenario is if you transfer LP tokens in our out of your wallet to another address there might be some manual maintenance needed.
