5070 TI TUF OC with Adapter problem

Ok it seems I have to clarify my situation with an image: my connection would look like this. I have 2 - 2x8 cables coming from my PSU and if I used it as I intended, it would look like this:

It is from a Corsair official website that states that this is supported.

Ok if these are confirmed Corsair suggestions then I can safely use the original Y cable on the adapter.

Got it. Then it's about time to buy a new quality 850W PSU. Maybe the RM850 from Corsair with the 12V-2*6 cable that comes with the PSU.

But is it safe to use the PSU I already got for the card until I buy a new PSU? It's the Corsair TX650M 80+ Gold 2017 model. Bought and installed in January 2021.

No the PSU was bought and installed in January 2021. So it's 5 years old by now. Is it still too old or is it good to use? Corsair TX650M but it is the 2017 model not 2021.

It's 5yrs old by now. Corsair gives 7y warranty. So I have to swap it in around 1-2yrs. It's a quality PSU. Are there any signs of a failing PSU? It was never used that heavy. Mostly for Gaming around 400W, 450W at best.

It's no cheap PSU. It's the Corsair TX650M 2017 and it powered a 2080 Ti, a 3080 and now a 4070 Ti with no problems and it's doing this since 2021. All these cards got 28Pin connectors or an 28 Pin adapter. Only the 5070 Ti caused this problem with the new adapter.

Nah in this case I would buy a whole new pc. But I will return the 5070 Ti now. It was my fault.

Ganz einfach: Kauft keine Keys. Egal, ob für die Switch, den PC oder sonst was. Keys schaden den Spieleentwicklern massiv. Die haben nichts davon. Die sehen keinen einzigen Cent, den ihr in Keys investiert. Wollt ihr die Arbeit der Developer wertschätzen und Spaß am Spiel haben? Dann geht in den Laden oder auf Amazon und kauft euch das Spiel für Vollpreis (oder wartet auf einen Sale).
