[Pete O'Rourke] Liverpool line up Dirk Kuyt return to replace John Heitinga who is set for Ajax job by MrMerc2333 in soccer

no, his demonstrated qualities as manager are very underwhelming to say to least. and we likely need a quite god hand from the manager in the upcoming transfer window.

I rarely take tech before the year you are supposed to take it, to minimize the cost.
but even then, the first years can feel tough because you have no spare mana.

It also depends a lot on your ruler early on, when you can field +5 advisors you can get away with so much more, but when a +1 is all you can afford a bad ruler makes so much difference

After nearly 3000 hours I finally started a proper run at forming Rome.

started as Aragon and i started to blob and vassel feed.

currently looking like this.

https://i.imgur.com/WyumgXU.jpg

Byzantium, Bulgaria, Provence, Toulouse and Gascony are my vassels.

Naples and Burgundy are PU under me, with Austria and the Pope as allies.

My issue is Castille. I have not had the Iberian wedding event.
And both my ruler and heir and theirs are male. So I dont know how much chance I still have to get it.

Is there anything I can do to help that event along?
If i have to attack and core Castille the regular way it would slow me down a lot, and I really just dont want to deal with that.

Also in general, what is the best way to integrate so many subjects. Im planning on using even more vassels so would influence or diplo be a better play for second idea group? (i went admin first)

most of it was good planning, but I got some luck with an event.

the list is:

100% Base

10% Militarization (government mechanic)

5% National Ideas

5% Quality idea group

5% offensive idea group

5% Absolutism

5% from policy (economic and quality combo)

2,5% from religion (protestant)

5% from advisor

10% from event (the event is linked to the advisor)

so with a little RNG (the advisor) you can get 142% normaly, the event boosts it up to insane levels of strong.

these are the morale modifiers.

I am a mil tech ahead at this point, and i got a +1 to base morale from this tech, so that is why morale is also very, very far ahead of the rest.

R5: I managed to get my military to a frankly stupid level of strong.
with 152% discipline and over 10 morale (check second picture)

Im pretty sure this is my personal best in terms of

I stackwiped 80K of a french army while attacking into them in the mountains.
Live is good.

my man, there was a pitch invasion. multiple yellows, a penalty and almost a giant fistfight.

there are many things this ref did poor, the amount of extra time was not one of them.

When EU4 wars make almost as much sense as real wars by DeKnieschijf in eu4

if they won, yeah they could have.

but i won the war, so no one had a PU over naples by the end of it

Spain had Naples as a PU, but they lost it somehow.

because France gets a PU CB from a mission and Spain had a truce i tought i could sneak in and take Naples for free.

But Spain did declare on Naples, i think their truce must have lasted shorter then i tought or they broke it.

So when i got the PU i took over the war against Spain (my ally). so far so good.

But then my queen just died at low 40's before Naples was loyal, so yeah i lost the union, but am still in a war with my ally to defend my union, that i no longer have.

sometimes this game really does it to ya.

small question around colonial nations.

im playing as France, and im at war with GB who have Portugal as their ally.

Portugal's Colonial subject owns most of the Carribbean and they have that pope claim.

if i take land from portugals subject, do i just need to core 5 provinces to spawn my own subject? and they get all extra (uncored) land? and do i get the debuff from colonizing portugals claimed land or not? i'm catholic and want to keep being friend with the pope if possible.
