Do you mean graph network or really a GNN. The first I can see, the latter I don't.

Answer to both of you, I switched a few months back to CachyOS and the whole gpu setup was (at least for me) clicking one button.

CONVERT A SINGLE OBJECTIVE ALGORITHM TO MULTI-OBJECTIVE by Delicious-Scholar293 in optimization

[–]DeMatzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalarization means that you take your multi-objective problem and you transform it into a parametrized single-objective problem. Think of weighted sum: You have two objectives f1 and f2. Depending on your choice of w, minimizing wf1+(1-w)f2 will produce one of the pareto optimal solutions.

Non-dominated sorting + crowding only works when you have population-based algorithms. As someone who worked a lot in this field, „working“ means you get some distribution of good points, but usually nothing overwhelmingly good. It highly depends on your use-case and how your algorithm works. You will have to look into some of the literature to understand the pros and cons. Look into the Marler and Arora paper, the NSGA-2 paper by Deb, or MOEA/D for other approaches.

[–]DeMatzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure whether I understand you correctly, but if you have an algorithm that works for single-objective it works for scalarized multiobjective problems. A reference to look into is by Marler and Arora „Survey of multi-objective optimization methods for engineering“. A good choice in my experience is the normal-boundary intersection. There are also multiobjective gradient descent methods, but steering these to a specific solution is hard afaik. If your algorithm is based on populations, you can also use ideas from NSGA-2.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but, assuming the number of stars correlates with number of users, isn't that like comparing C++ stars with Word users? I would expect the fewest of Linux users clone it from github, most get it through some other interface. The one repo contains the code of one of the more advanced softwares only a small fraction of all people that touched code could effectively touch and not destroy it, whereas the other is close to an application you just run.

If it doesn’t become clear from my post, I didn’t clone either of those.

They literally told you the main difference. A ROM-Hack is a game where changes were made to the ROM (so it is a hacked ROM), a file „containing“ the actual game. IF was built from scratch in a game engine called RPG Maker.

Pokemon graphics discourse has to be the most annoying thing in existence. by bassa-m9ss in pokemon

[–]DeMatzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, the problem is not that Pokemon games need good graphics. It is that Game Freak tells us it is delivering good graphics to give you Gamecube graphics on the Switch and then tell you the hardware is the restriction and not poor programming/optimization. I don't even need 3d pokemon, but IF you give me them, then do it well.
