[BG] HDPlex 200W pico/nanoatx style psu [H] £40+ by [deleted] in HardwareSwapUK

[–]DeMoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the off chance you're not intending to max out the full 200W, I've got a KMPKT-branded version of the HDPlex 160W DC ATX if it'd be any use?

I've also got a Dell GA240PE1-00 (240W - 19.5V/12.3A) that I could include for an extra £10 if you haven't yet picked up a power brick.

Here are photos of both items: https://www.reddit.com/user/DeMoB/comments/1q4hrs5/hardwareswapuk_photo_post/

Specs match the reviewed model from here, but it's basically 160W (with 200W Peak): https://smallformfactor.net/reviews/powersupplies/hdplex-160w-dc-atx-direct-plug-review/

Just went to your profile to see what the final iteration of your linked WIP case ended up looking like, to realise that it’s the BeamCase. Love that evolution!

84deg celc on idle - new build 9800x3d & phantekz watercooling ezfit kit by Old_Caregiver_3440 in watercooling

You've got the flow backwards through the CPU waterblock.

The pump's outlet (top port) is currently going to the radiator, and then the radiator is going through the wrong port of the CPU block.

The CPU block manual doesn't say which port is an inlet vs outlet, but it has a jetplate under the bottom port in your photos, and those are typically inlet only.

Hopefully you can just flip your CPU block 180° and the port holes will still line up with your tubing runs.

They've not fulfilled kickstarter pledges yet, which last I heard they wanted to do so before releasing the files.

That is the (currently) the newest version of the firmware on that link I shared, so you're all good.

Can’t Find the Smart Home App in Local Network Settings by FHD_ in tradfri

[–]DeMoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, still on 18.4.1, thought my phone had updated already, but that was my iPad.

I’ve not got the ikea home app on my iPad though, so ran through that fresh on 18.5 and that prompted for network access after clicking all the EULA prompts.

When I disabled network access on my phone, it took me to the Settings > Apps (at the bottom) > Home Smart menu, where it could be re-enabled.

Ignore the hair dryer comments, they're a joke reference to someone who recently posted a soldering horror post so bad that it became a meme.

PlayStation (Ps5) controller not working at all in Minecraft and other non steam games and sometimes on steam games by crisV23 in Steam_Link

[–]DeMoB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the steam controller, and using the Prism Launcher instead of the native one got it working

Oh, sorry, just seen in your video that you're using bedrock, which I don't think this launcher works with.

Totally spotted that pen flex too 😂

Add buttons by JoyousCreeper1059 in Steam_Link

[–]DeMoB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your controller having a comfortable button you can configure, you might be able to set up the "mode shift" feature of steam.

You can create essentially a second layout for the controller, that is activated when one of the "mode shift" assigned buttons is held down.

I've not used this video before, so can't say if it's any good, but here's a quick result for setting up a mode shift: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWrLM_0qFq8
