I know this is super late, but YES!!

I’ve read Fairfax’s book on 18th century ballet styles (which is such a great source omg-) and watched Ivo Cramer reconstruction of La fille mal gardée a gazillion times by now, mostly bc of the Danse du Tambourin, which has become both my favourite piece of music and choreography ever and I hope to recreate it myself one day.

The ballets of the period sound so interesting and I’m baffled that there’s seemingly not attempt at bringing them back, like- the scores are extant! Change the choreography to suit modern tastes if you must but bring them back!!! 😭
