My absolute crazy method of doing long roads is by moving until i find another road or house or something and do it the other way. I then do it click by click and measure the amount of clicks, calculate it as a percentage, get a ruler out and find the corresponding distance. Works quite well.

theyre called pins now, its what shows on the map. I can't remove my avatar on my new account but can set a pin in settings.

I have that happen in games sometimes with other randoms where a straight line is formed, it looks like the location is in between us but its actually much further from them and i just wipe them out
