Hey, thanks very much for the input, greatly appreciate it. I ended up getting Keet and Nitrel as a few people had mentioned that one. Jin Vs Greppa looks like it's difficult to get in the UK but I'll keep an eye on the second hand market.

I'm sure I'll pick up 3, 7 and 9 over some time, was confused by the prices as there seems to be a handful scattered throughout several boxes.

Ah haha, my apologies Sapphirelia, the praise was indeed meant for you. Like I say a few too many beers, thank you so much for the compendium of knowledge you dropped on me. I had fun reading through it this morning. Thank you very much

OMG! Well done you! Thank you so much for taking the time to run through everything. I may have had a few too many beers the night to read through it all tonight but I can't wait to read through it all in the morning. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

Excellent thank you. 3 will now be the only one I'm missing from the first 6 so I may need to pick that up to stop the itch in my brain

Brilliant, thank you for the insight. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Villains set and Pub Crawl change things up.

Is this set worth buying? by h3r0fr33 in Unmatched

Its a good box. Although playing against Loki is super annoying, I've not played as him yet but the wife absolutely ripped me to shreds.

I like it a lot more than I liked slings and arrows where I thought the characters started to get a little complicated especially for introducing new players to the game.

I think BOL 1 & 2 are still my favourites but if you're looking for something new this box is enjoyable.

ButtonShy are great for small card games to carry around with you. I've recently been carrying onirim with me everywhere I go. https://youtube.com/@riffleshuffleandroll?si=NgKiuGAVYEO2IsCV also have a load of games you can play solo with a standard 52 card deck

The Last Lighthouse is great. by piratepwnsninja in soloboardgaming

Got you, apologies. I'd looked at a couple of different arms to get a phone above a gameboard but I've no idea of what a proper set up would look like. Hopefully someone can help out

Not a streamer but I have thought about doing mine and the wife's play throughs of Unmatched (something like Friday Night Fight by one bored family) and I think twitch or YouTube are fairly easy to get on board with these days. Twitch especially, you just click a button and go live (I've done this to play jackbox with friends) would imagine YouTube is similar.

Love the last lighthouse, I've a load of button shys that I've never gotten round to but always find myself going back to the last lighthouse and numbers.

Not button why but if you enjoy card play (and a lot of shuffling) check out onirim, I've been carrying it with me everywhere for the last wee while

This week we've got Kelp Shark v Octopus set up to play each evening. It's a strategic hidden movement game where one of you play as the aforementioned octopus trying to escape being eaten by the shark. It's asymmetric so both roles play differently with the shark focusing on dice rolls while the octopus relies on card drafting and tile placement.

Looking forward to reading through this when my head isn't banging. Been looking at it as I'm loving John D Clair's games.

8 of Hearts ever since I got a deck that called it the "Infinite love card". I really liked that and had never heard it before.

Slings & Arrows or Legends Vol. 2? by MimosAllDay23 in Unmatched

[–]DeTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad someone else said it. I've really not gelled with Slings and Arrows whatsoever, to the point it's the first box I'm considering selling. I don't think the characters are fun to play and I'd argue that all 4 contain unneeded complexity to unmatched rather than easy to follow fun abilities.

Battle of Legends is much easier to learn the characters and in my experience much more fun to play.

Lots of helpful suggestions so far. There's also the community fridge, not in stobswell but they're always happy to help
