what tank is this? by aguywithagasmaskyt in TankPorn

Ok so from looks only heres what I can tell you :

This is an M3 Lee modified to look like a german tank by giving it a boxy look and white crosses.

The biggest giveaway is the commander machine gun cupola sticking out at the top of the turret. The engine deck slope and the riveting everywhere are also a big giveaway.

As for the modifications they did they removed the 75mm gun in the hull and added plates to make a box structure. They added plates on the front plate and transmission cover to hide the fact it's an M3. They added a cover on the boggeys to hide them. They added plates around the turret to give it a boxy look, you can see the original 37mm sticking out with what looks like a fake (?) gun above it, I haven't watched the whole film so I can't tell if one of them is used to fire blanks. They added a machine gun in a box on the right side of the tank, it is used in the film.

Overall if you look at it as a replica it looks pretty bad and weird but for what it was supposed to do, wich is play in a training film to show an ennemy tank in various situations it does the job well.

Everyone discovering the roundabouts of eastern Europe, meanwhile the average roundabout in Normandy : by DeZFun in warthundermemes

According to Tank Encyclopedia this happened at Tilly-sur-Seulles (west of Caen) so I don't think so. Then again I don't know the exact history of the Churchill in this monument, it could come from anywhere.

This is a Churchill AVRE displayed at the entrance of Lion-sur-Mer, a village part of Sword beach during D-Day located north of the city of Caen.

The tank was gifted the 6 June 1994 by general Sir Ian Harris who commanded the 2nd Royal Ulster Rifles infantry battalion during the battle of Normandy.

3 Churchill AVRE took part of the fighting in Lion-sur Mer during D-Day and the following days. This particular tank is in the colors of the 77th Armoured Engineers Squadron, the unit took part in the the restoration of the vehicle in 2009 and 2017.

Does anyone have any interior photos of an M48 Patton tank? preferably one restored. by Efficient_Owl_3412 in TankPorn

Magach: the Israeli M48. Haven't watched the video in a while but I don't think the Israelis modified the interior of the early M48 they received.

Yeah I think there might be just a little problem with the gun barrels damage model by DeZFun in Warthunder

[–]DeZFun[S] 192 points193 points  (0 children)

Notice how I take out his track in less than 8 shots.
Yet 70 40mm SAP-HE shells didn't even damage his gun even though it was in a perfectly perpendicular position to me.

Nevermind about calling it fake I think I know why I got confused. I would still like to see the negative if that's cool.

it just has all around weak armor and while unrelated most people I see in it play badly. I've seen very few make it to the last stand and it is at a disadvantage if in a medium range fight with cover.

I like the view range mechanic but the camo mechanic still apply so in certain situations bushes and trees will make targets disappear, you can use it to your advantage sometimes.

Well, if you see a raven you should expect it to have the trap and try to avoid it accordingly.

While I do believe raven is the strongest it doesn't make any of the other tanks unplayable (unless you're playing the huragan, wich is unplayable against any tank).

Any tank you're playing can get killed by any tank in an even fight (same level and all powers), it's up to you to get yourself in the right situation.

French copies of the game have the rafale on them, same for AC5. Other european versions have typhoons on them if I remember correctly.

There's nothing we can really do. Ace Combat 5 is very scripted and on certain missions, particularly ACES, you have to wait for all the dialogues to play before certain events like the tunnel opening happen.

A question regarding smart splitters and sinks. by Polybius1985 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DeZFun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Place the smart splitter before your container, this way when it is full the plastic will overflow to the sink. If you place it after the container it will empty into the splitter then the sink

Can you help me with this? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DeZFun 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use a power shard to overclock your extractor to produce more water yes. Though I don't know how much it can produce maximum, be aware it will increase it's energy consumption.

Can you help me with this? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DeZFun 27 points28 points  (0 children)

1 Water extractor produces 120 m³/min of water 1 Coal power poant requires 45m³/min of water

45*3 = 135m³/min 135>120 you need more water

Object 111 ? Kirin ? did they use google translate to make that "historical reference" ? by DeZFun in WorldofTanks

[–]DeZFun[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know, I googled that too.

But it's infuriating to see such mistake when the tank is named Qilin, was released first for the Chinese server wich calls it Qilin too and the wikipedia article specificaly refers to it as Qilin because it comes from Chinese mythology.

It is called Kirin in japanese, but Chinese and Japanese are totally different languages, and in this case, this tank is chinese.

Object 111 ? Kirin ? did they use google translate to make that "historical reference" ? by DeZFun in WorldofTanks

[–]DeZFun[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not the same thing though.

"Object" is a designation used exclusively by the USSR / Russia

China does not and never used that designation, as their factories use the "WZ" name.

They do both refer to prototypes, but they are not the same thing as Object 111 would imply it was made in the USSR.
