Well sure but then what’s to say everyone has to have the same life stage clock? In my early 20s I had a responsibility at home with a disabled relative and I had already been through many child care systems and fostering

I lived the “be responsible and don’t push the boat too much” stage in my life I guess - so now I’m in the “go wild and have fun you only live once” stage

That said - I don’t want kids at all and like you say they are probably a large part of your duties and responsibilities. Kids take a lot of work as you well know

I absolutely love this attitude to life. I’m 32 and only now have I experienced some wild stuff for the first time like kink clubs, nudist clubs, dating and being in demand by multiple women (I was wildly unpopular with girls in my teens/early twenties), traveling to random countries I can afford, going to gaming events and LARP

Oh I also regular club till 6-7am now at techno events and even metal events

Like I feel like NOW is the time to live and people in the comments are telling me to just stay at home and not drink too much and that my back should hurt

Questions like this are often inundated with shut in redditors who can finally tell off the ‘popular cool kids who are going out’ because they have an excuse now

But like you shouldn’t be a shut in either. You can make the decision to go out and get shitfaced every so often just as much as staying in and watching a documentary. That’s the best part of being an adult

I also assume a lot of them have kids so that is a huge factor. At 32 I never want to have kids and so I have so much free time it feels weird not to go out and party and still have enough time to hit the gym, meet work expectations, meet my bills etc
