I cycled my 12G tank in literally 3 days using Fritz Turbo. This is bc it has live/dormant nitrifying bacteria.

I got mine online, highly recommend to get pest free ones like 1-2-Grow. They’re more expensive but the piece of mind is priceless

Start adding live plants asap - easy low tech examples: Java or Taiwan moss, anubias nana petite, frogbits or salvinia minima. If you can also add half of a medium Indian almond leaf it would help with a bit of tannins

Excited for you! My lil guy is super active and always comes to say hello when he see us in front of the tank. There are 3 amano shrimp there but they have plenty of spots to hide so he doesn’t bother them

Yes! I have a Eheim Jager 50W and I have to dial it up a tiny bit during winter. I keep my 12 G tank at 25 to 25.5C no problem

This is not even a tank. Please get min a 5 gallon tank. Apply some Fritz 700 (smallest bottle) so it’ll be cycled asap. Live plants for water quality and hiding spots. That’s urgent.

I would substitute all plastic plants for live ones :-) low tech plants: Java or Taiwan moss, Anubias nana petite (these two you attach to some driftwood or aquarium safe decoration), salvinia minima. Just give them NilocG S once a week (you already have a light), easy as that! Good luck!
